(And supper was good too!) We were staying in Bliss overnight and had eaten supper at the Oxbow Cafe. The food was good, the service friendly, and the prices reasonable. One thing we noticed about restaurants in this area was that they had some family-sized items on the menu. The Manhattan Mega Meal (full pound of ground beef with an appropriate amount of fries, plus lettuce, tomato and pickle for $10.25) was chosen by our daughter to share with some of her kids and it worked out really well.
On the way out we picked up a copy of the menu and in the morning, after looking over the breakfast choices, made our selections even before we got to the cafe. [It's worth noting that they do serve breakfast all day, too.]
Several in our group picked the Blue Special (2 eggs, unlimited blueberry hot cakes, and a choice of 2 sausage links or 2 bacon strips, all for $7.50). It was really excellent and a great value.
All in all, a great experience at the Oxbow Cafe and we would definitely stop here again if we were traveling through the area.
