This is the cutest little museum! It is neither high-tech, nor fancy- but it’s fun! The mature lady who greeets you is the sweetest! Cute stuff in the gift shop. The small museum drives home the historic importance of the humble potato. Be sure to watch the short videos- esp how McDonald’s French fries are made. Speaking of French fries, do you know who introduced them to the USA? Go and find out!

This is a super little museum, the exhibits are interesting and the displays are well thought out, we learned a lot about the origins of potato farming. There were things to keep children amused a a cafe that offered very good value for money.

Travelled all the way from England to see this world-renowned museum...possibly.

The museum gives a history of potato farming in Idaho and has examples of the machinery and methods used. There is a small cinema showing potato-related films and an adjoining gift shop. Entry to the museum costs $4.
The cafe is also worth a visit. In it you can eat a wide variety of potato-based foods, including baked potatoes, potato fries and potato ice-cream.

I love potatoes so I found all the potato information interesting. The museum is small but worth an hours visit if you like potatoes. The staff were super friendly.
