On our way from Murphy, NC to Young Harris, GA, we stopped at the Crane Creek Vineyard for a wine tasting. The owners were very helpful and friendly, and the vineyards rolling along the hills were beautiful (even though it was March!).

We enjoy traveling to new vineyards to try local wines. We found Crane Creek Vineyards and we were glad we did. The shop is set up an old farm house. We tasted the wine and were invited to stay for a bit, relax and enjoy our new purchase. The owners were friendly. We thoroughly enjoyed our experience. We would definately return.

We went to the winery while spending the weekend in northern Georgia. Even though it was the beginnig of February, the weather was in the 60's, the sunny was out and it was a gorgeous day. When we arrived, we stopped in the shop to have a wine tasting and see which of the wines we liked best. We decided on the Brasstown Red because it was a lighter red as compared to the Hellbender. After our tasting, we purchased a bottle of the Brasstown Red, they gave us two glasses and we proceeded outside to sit at a picnic table and enjoy the weather. Obviously at this time of year the grape vines were bare, but we still enjoyed a stroll through the vineyard and a visit with the horses that are right off to the side of the vineyard. This was a great local find and would recommend it to anyone interested in visiting the area.

My Wife and I took a weekend get away in Oct on 2012 and stumbled on this place - what a pleasant surprise. The winery is rustic but very relaxing, service is outstanding, and the variety of wines is great for North Georgia. I have traveled extensively for work over the last 20+ years, visited Napa, etc - this place is well done. I bought a few of their Red wines - my standard for Reds is Caymus. The trip is the fall was great, arrive in the afternoon, do the tasting, buy a bottle and enjoy time relaxing on the patio and enjoying the view...
