We recently had a party of ten for our mother's 90th birthday party and had a lovely experience. We gathered in the lobby area for cocktails and enjoyed the beautiful room (too bad the fireplace wasn't lit). The waitstaff couldn't have been nicer and the food was very good. I would say my favorite item was the spinach salad, the bread pudding and the endless amount of peel and eat shrimp. If you like prime rib, you'll be happy. I like chicken and pasta and they had lovely entrees of each. Great place for a family group or casual meal. Dress is super casual.

This resort is overall a good value. The amenities are nice, the lodge has a lot of space to relax with a huge fireplace . Dining has reasonable prices with good food. Arcade, gift shop and sports bar are nice. We didn't get to take advantage of the on site spa because they were booked. I recommend making an appointment ahead of time as the close early. My only negative about Brasstown is the rooms are slightly out of date yet clean and comfortable. I'll definetly return soon

Gorgeous views and landscaping. The rustic mountain lodge offers a perfect setting for vacations, parties or conventions. You can enjoy the indoor/outdoor pool and spa, play golf, hike nature trails, or ride horses, or just enjoy the view from the rocking chairs on the outdoor mountain-overlook deck. It was raining while we were there, so we sat around the massive stone fireplace in the lobby where you also have a scenic view of the mountains. There are firepits on the patio outside the downstairs pub, two gift shops offering a variety of souvenirs, at least two restaurants, and some of the nicest hotel employees you'd ever hope to meet. Best of all is the serenity! I appreciate that the hotel room had a Gideons' Bible in the drawer of the bedside table. I sat in the porch chair outside my room, read books, and enjoyed quiet sounds of nature. You can tell I enjoyed my stay!

Room Tip: The rooms on the backside of the lodge have best mountain view, especially on upper floor.

Stayed at Brasstown 9/21 -9/23 for a girl's weekend golf trip. The resort is lovely, rooms are a nice size, beds are very soft. Everything was clean and well maintained. The golf course is in excellent condition and was a pleasure to play. The staff throughout the hotel was gracious and accomodating. We didn't encounter one employee who wasn't willing to go the extra mile to make things easier or faster for us, and it was much appreciated. The food was fine, though a little expensive. The resort has an indoor/outdoor pool which was very nice. Great drinks served in Brassies bar and grill. Overall I wouldn't hesitate to recommend the resort, just understand that if you go there for a Friday -Sunday stay with three rounds of golf, you'll end up spending, including food, drinks, taxes, resort fee etc. around $800 for two. Didn't get a chance to enjoy the spa but I heard it is highly rated. The resort also has a fitness center, stables and all kinds of hiking trails so lots to do if golf isn't your thing.

Room Tip: you might want to ask for a room with a balcony. Great view looking over the valley!

I go every year to enjoy the mountain and get some good downtime. Half of the staff remember us and call us by name. I almost always stay in a cabin and have never had a problem, they are quiet and peaceful and just a short walk to the main building. Labor day is a great time to be there as the Porsche club is there and all those beautiful cars are there on display in a car show. I will continue to go a couple of time every year.

Room Tip: The cabins are the best but stay away from the oak cabin, it has a long uphill path and a lot of ste...

Great lodge/hotel. Great golf course -- rates are cheaper after 11AM--so ask about that when booking a tee time (I didn't and paid a lot more by teeing off at 10:30) . The indoor/outdoor pool was really nice, too -- and you can have lunch there.
