“Love this park!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 6, 2013

It's right off I-575 for easy access. The entrance road is across from the new outlet mall. The Little River makes for a calm and restful experience. We saw bikers on both the multi-use trail and the mountain biking trail. There were people swimming, fishing, kayaking and oh yeah, riding their unicycle. My only complaint is the lack of restroom facilities. One porta-john in a hot parking lot is woefully inadequate and an unpleasant surprise.

“We love to take a walk through the trails”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 26, 2013 via mobile

Great spot for outdoor family fun. You can walk the trail to the train trestle. Take a dip in the "swimming hole" there is a deck area for fishing. Take your Mt. bike for a ride. Picnic with the kids. Kayak to lake Altoona. We love this place!

“Nice little gem”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 29, 2013

Rope mill is a great little gem. We often go there to put in kayaks. You can row down the river and enter lake allatoona. If you stay to the right bank you can go up another creek to a nice waterfall. There also a nice walking and mountain biking trails. Its worth the trip.

“Hikers, bikers, runners... WELCOME”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 29, 2013

You can walk, you can bike, you can run, you can fish... it is a pretty cool place to relax or let your inner athlete run wild. The trails are very steep and there are plenty of rocks, but they are long enough to give you a great workout. Just remember to follow the signs!

“Great hiking and mountain biking trails”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 29, 2013

Nice trail system on the Little River that flows into Lake Allatoona. Walking trails are along the river and two mountain bike trails, one on each side of the overpass, are exceptional. The Explorer trails are comprised of three interconnected loops, all Beginner or Intermediate (recently upgraded from Beginner+). Frankly, the second Explorer loop is the most difficult of the three loops. It's definitely worth pushing through the second loop to get to the third loop, which is a lot of fun. The Avalanche loops are all considered intermediate, but to this relative newcomer to the sport, they seem quite advanced. I've only navigate the first of the three loops so far, and it was pretty technical (short word for lots of roots, rocks, and trees).

Visitors can also walk the Mountain Bike trails but they are very narrow trails and bikes have the right-of-way, so it can be a bit precarious at times. Walk these trails at your own risk and make sure to go in the opposite direction of the bikers so you can see them coming.
