The gite is very spacious and comfortable but still has the spirit of the old days. Just a perfect mix.
I fell in love with the sofa in the living room, it was so soft - you just sink in and don't want to get up! I was wishing it was a winter outside so I could curl up and enjoy the sound of fire, but since it was quite hot, catching some sun outside in the terrace didn't seem so bad :)
Once you take the original wooden stairs up to the bedrooms you are welcomed by two lovely bedrooms, bright and cozy, with its exposed beams and original wood floor. It just took me back in time.
A night in this gite is something you won't be able to experience anywhere in the city - once you switch off the light you are in complete darkness. No street lamps, no noise to disturb the sleep. That was the best nights sleep my boyfriend and I had in a long long time.
It's a perfect place to rest and relax. If I didn't feel like lying around and doing nothing inside the house I could just do it outside, next to the pool! Or watch the landscape, or take a walk in the forest, or take a ride to the lake close by...The few days we spent there couldn't have gone faster, we can't wait to go back!

My husband and I stayed in Cogulet for our 15th wedding anniversary and it was simply stunning. The jite is kept wonderfully rustic with the log burner and exposed beams it has a warm cosy atmosphere exactly what we were looking for for our romantic getaway. The grounds are well kept and we enjoyed the breathtaking views of the countryside. We also really enjoyed the scenic walks, wildlife and explored the nearby villages where the locals were very friendly. We were made to feel very welcome by the owners who could not have been more helpful - thank you Trevor and Ugne for a lovely holiday, we look forward to returning again in the summer next year when we can make good use of the pool!
