“Glory days are gone!”
Reviewed January 8, 2014

I visited 'the mall' when there were bargains to be had. Not any more. Think full price sale than outlet prices. Ok if you're in area. Certainly not worth going out of the way for. You've been warned, it may be a wasted trip. Certainly better value If you are not EU Resident and you are Able to get a tax refund.

“Forgettable experience”
Reviewed January 6, 2014 via mobile

Compared to bicester village in London, the mall is significantly smaller with fewer brands though Gucci and Prada have a larger floor space here. It almost looks like a flagship for both brands as they have their own building compound. Staff in both places were also attentive and helpful. Definitely worth visiting if you are a big fans of both brands.

Burberry store was quite worth visiting. There was a particularly staff who was exceptionally friendly, helpful and sincere. It was impossible to not buy anything with the impeccable service she offered!

Unfortunately the experience in some of the other brands were far from commendable, especially Armani. There were no smiles on their staff, even when I was making payment and there was no queue. It looked like someone had owed them a lot of money and refused to return.

Other stores like ferragamo and Bottega were not very well stocked. Item variety was poor and dated. The staff also showed little interest to serve and attend to customers when we walked in.

Despite the good experience in a few brands, I won't advise anyone to come here unless they have some time to kill in Florence as I only had 1.5 days there. The trip to the mall took 4hours of my time which I didn't feel was particularly fruitful.

Also, I discovered most of the prices for the same items later were slightly higher than those in bicester village when I visited there a few days later.

“Small outlet offering moderate discounts on goods”
Reviewed January 5, 2014

I read the reviews & checked the outlet website before I get there - still amused by the size of the outlet. The good thing is it has a handful of my favourite brands, otherwise the rating would have been lower. Overall it is just average - definitely not a must-go - Serravalle in Milan is better.

Food in the outlet is terrible (I had a simple caprese - dishes that people had around me didn't look good :/), service is unbelievably slow (it took me 1hr 15 mins to finish a caprese and one cappuccino - record!!!). And I'm surprised that waitresses there cannot speak (basic) English when this outlet is rather popular among non-Italian tourists.

“The selection was very past season”
Reviewed January 5, 2014

Went there having high hopes on Ferragamo, Prada and other brands. Realised many of the designs are really from many seasons ago, hence I didn't buy anything from there. There's other mid range brands as well. Took the mall's designated bus there and back, and it's a convenient hassle free way to get there.
Maybe we had overly high expectations of the place.

“Still very expensive and last season”
Reviewed January 3, 2014

I went there taking a bus from the train station of Florence. The service is well organised as there are buses leaving every hour so you do not need to wait till the end of the day if you want to leave earlier. I thought that Prada and Loro Piana were interesting as they sell timeless pieces but I did not like everything else (Gucci, Dolce Gabbana, YSL etc) as everything there was still way too expensive for my budget and mainly from past, outdated season or just weird pieces. But yes, since it is easy to go there, it is definitely worth visiting to see what you think!
