Very pricey!
Came here because we were told about the train ride. Wanted to take our kids 3 and 7.
Came later in the day, 3:00 so we didn't have time to do everything for the price we paid.
Went once, probably wouldn't go back unless we had a coupon or some type of special.
The nature talk was very interesting with live animals. You can even hold a baby gator if you want.

“Who cares about the bugs!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 24, 2013 via mobile

We were looking for an Eco-vacation, and this stop on our ten day road trip did not disappoint! Although the deer fly's were still biting, and bug spray didn't help, the park is beautiful and worth the drive. We started by walking through the alligator and otter habitats. The animals are well cared for and happy, which is nice to see. Next we took a 40 minute boat ride through the swamp, which was both informative and beautiful. A ten minute stop at an observation tower gave us our daily exercise climbing the stairs, and a breathtaking view of the swamp. After the boat ride, we attended a reptile presentation in which a very knowledgable, caring woman (forget her name) showed us frogs, snakes and juvenile alligators. Everybody that wanted to was allowed to hold the animals for photos. After her presentation, she and my guy talked gators for a few, then off we went to the train ride. The train winds all through the park, giving you 15 minutes or so to walk around a replica town from long ago.

This park is a must see when visiting National Parks and Preserves. Although in South Georgia, it's an way day trip from Florida.

“Great Visit at a great price”

For approximately $25 you get to ride the train for about 30 minutes through the swamp, take a motor boat ride for about 45 minutes, see a snake and alligator handler give an entertaining lecture and walk at your own pace on a boardwalk through the swamp. Lots of alligators to view. If you like nature and the outdoors, you will enjoy! My wife and I plan on returning with some of our grandchildren that will love the Swamp Park and enjoy viewing the alligators.

“Swamp skydiving”

Yeah right, they don't go hand in hand here. An outing you will not forget. Outdoors on a boat with gators lurking and looking and a train ride with outdoor beauty and surprises await. Live animal show and other activities captivate this outing. Don't rush the day, there an outdoor adventure will be awaiting.

“Very disappointing / Little to do”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 25, 2013

For the cost of admission there was very little to do. There was a board walk that led you through some alligatiors that were secured in a pen, a small building with about 5 or 6 snakes, another building that had a stuff alligator that was 70 years old that died in the park and a train ride that the schedule times were so far apart that you were waiting 30 minutes to ride because you see all the attractions within 30 minutes. The board walk that allowed you to walk out through the swamp to see wild alligators is no closed due to safety hazards and no plans to repair or reopen it. It was a waste of time and money for my wife and I as you do not get to see any of the swamp except for the drive into the park and a short boat ride around the small park which costs extra to ride. If you want to see the Okefenokee Swamp go to the National Park area of the swamp.
