They have a nice festival with crafters, demonstrations, and a look at how life used to be. It is cheap, family friendly and fun.

My husband and I had a very nice time visiting Callaway plantation. Our guide was very good and made the tour interesting and fun. We loved having the guided tour of the big house for an introduction and then being able to explore the rest of the plantation on our own. I've heard that they have a wonderful festival at the plantation for "Mule day," but it is also very pleasant to have the whole place to yourself.
