The hotel itself was ok. Our rooms were ready and adjoining as we requested. The photos of the pool (on the website) were exaggerated. It's actually much smaller. The "Sponge Bob" suite (my daughter booked for her family) wasn't nearly as roomy as the website picture shows. And, I'd like to add, the distance between the ceiling and the top bunkbed was a challenge for a 8 year old.
Our room (standard king) was nice other than the bathroom floor. It was slimy and slippery, I suspect it was cleaned with dirty water. No big deal, I wore flip-flops and made sure nothing touched the floor.
Now to my BIGGEST problem...Have I mentioned the trains??? I'm not a light sleeper but I've got to tell you the trains that blew their whistle's every couple hours throughout the night gave us very little sleep. That's all our family spoke about during breakfast. I'd think twice before booking here or invest in noise-cancelling headphones.

Thank you for your comments about your recent stay with us. We are so sorry that the train noise woke you up in the middle of the night. I will try to find out why there was so much noise the night of your stay because we normally do not hear that much. Again, please accept my apologies. I would also ask that you continue to stay with us and Holiday Inn wherever you travel and need hotel accommodations.

We stayed at the hotel while visiting Wild Adventures. Perfect location, very friendly staff. The only negative part of the stay was the length of time we waited for drinks in the lounge to be prepared. Bartender was very friendly, just slow. Night manager was outgoing and friendly. Will stay again if ever need to visit Valdosta again!

Thank you for writing about our property and can’t say enough about that title. "Great Time". I will look into the slow bartender service for sure and fix that. Overall I feel this is the best hotel staff in the business and it helps to have such a wonderful night manager in Christen Watkins… she is special! Come see us again as soon as you can… we will be ready for you.

We spent the last two days of our 10 day road trip at the Holiday Inn Hotel & Conference Center in Valdosta. It was a perfect location for us to get to and from Wild Adventures, and it was close to one of the best sushi restaurants we've ever been to. The staff could not have been friendlier, the room (we had a suite at the end of the hall) was quiet, comfy, and immaculate, the restaurant (even full of people) was clean and the food was tasty. The entire public area of the hotel was clean and inviting to spend time around. We will definitely stay at this hotel again if we head back that way.

Your titled response just about says it all and it is very much appreciated. Nothing motivates staff members more than a good old fashioned “Great Job Team!”
We hope you have plans to return soon.

The front desk staff was super friendly. Gave us two free drinks from the bar. The bartender was very friendly also. We stoped on our way back home from our honeymoon and got a jacuzzi sweet with a military discount on top of some other discount. Awesome room. Very, very pleased.

Hotel has a pool out the back - according to the signage and book in hotel room this should have closed at 10pm. However staff allowed more than 20 people to continue playing and screaming in the pool until 11pm despite us complaining twice about the noise. There is also a railtrack a few hundred yards from the rear of the hotel and the train sounded its horn everytime it went past every few hours during the night. Not the greatest nights sleep we have had. We were in the middle of a long journey and just wanted a quiet nights sleep which unfortunately evaded us.
Nice breakfast in the hotel restaurant the next morning though.

Room Tip: Pick a room in front of hotel

We are so sorry you were disturbed by any noise at all during your stay. Please accept my sincere apologies for this inconvenience interrupting your sleep. I will certainly look into the noise at the pool and make certain that does not happen again. I’m glad you enjoyed the breakfast in the morning at Azalea’s restaurant. Since the train did interrupt your sleep, we could put you on the front side of the building the next time you stay with us.
