We stayed here b/c we decded we were only going to drive about 1/2 way from Anderson, SC to Tampa. On the trip down we had no reservations, so I did Priceline. (Priviously, we've had very good luck w them.) For $49 (which turned into $61 w taxes & fees), we got a resevation at a 2-star hotel, which turned out to be the nearby Super 8. I'm really not a hotel snob, so we gave them a try. Ewww. It's an older property, fair enough, but the room smelled funny, like it had been a smoking room in the recent past & they just used air-freshener to "spruce it up." When we went back to tell the front desk lady, she was very nice, but she said all the rooms were prob going to smell like that. We said, "no thank you." Then we RAN back to our car. (I can't promise this hotel wasn't the site of a mass murder.) We actually got our money back from Priceline. A 1st for either of us. (Based on the health concerns from the funny smell.) Which is how we found the Drury in.

Our sob story got the front desk clerk to give us a rate of $79, plus they held the dinner buffet for us. This usually ends at 7pm, right when we were checking in. Heck, w dinner included, we prob saved money, plus we got a brand, spankin' new hotel.

I have stayed in Marriots, Sheratons, Peabody etc and this hotel was just as good but half the price. It may not be as fancy as a Peabody and it may not have bell boys but the entry is beautiful and clean. The rooms still smell NEW! They are beautiful, classy and clean. There is a fridge and a microwave for you too! The front desk has an area with snacks and drinks to purchase for the late night hunger. Also from 5pm to something they have free popcorn and soda. Breakfast I will warn you is a mad house!!! We arrived at 9:30 and it ended at 10. Everything was full and well maintained however there were so many people the 2 attendance just could not keep up with the messes people were making. I was a little shocked at how messy some people are! Kids were running around everywhere. People were making waffles and not cleaning up after themselves. It was just crazy. The food was pretty good. It was no Cracker Barrel but it was hot and fresh. There were waffles, biscuits, sausage, gravy, potatoes, cereal, OJ, apple juice, milk, coffee, soda, eggs, oatmeal, and more. My only recommendation would be get in line for the waffles as soon as you walk down if you want one because it is forever long. It also is in a very bad place. I think they need to move to a better location.

Room Tip: I noticed someone made a comment about pets being allowed. I believe there are certain rooms design...

If you're looking for a clean place to catch a few ZZZ's on a road trip, the Drury is fine. It's a new place, so it's clean.

We took a suite room which is basically a railroad flat with one window in the bedroom. The sitting room, consequently, is as dark as pitch.

The included breakfast is ok. It's standard fare for a place like this. Nothing out of the ordinary.

It was raining typhoon-style when we arrived. I was able to get the bags and the family into the lobby OK, but they didn't even have a spare umbrella so I could get back from the parking lot without getting a soaking. There was also a light bulb burned out in the bathroom, which is kind of unforgivable in a brand-spanking-new hotel.

They do have a great looking indoor-outdoor pool.

We went to visit Wild Adventures and stayed at this hotel. Our party consited of 6 adults and 5 kids (ages 6-11).

The Stay was great, the evening food/snack was perfect for us (especially to hold the kids over until dinner), and the staff was second to none. The staff always smiled, were very polite, and more than willing to resolve any issues you may have. The rooms themselves were nice and clean. The indoor/outdoor pool is a very nice touch, and the kids didn't want to get out of the water. Overall one of the nicest hotels we've stayed at in Valdosta!

My family and I stayed here one night on our way to Florida. The hotel was nice although the pool was pretty small and too crowded for my small son to swim in. Our room was clean and the front desk clerk was nice. The free popcorn, soda as well as the breakfast and dinner are a great reason to stay in this hotel. We were pleased with our stay and would stay here again.

New hotel as of January. Good friendly service. Can make happy hour dinner as they provide lots of choices, or walk across the street to a new olive Garden. Competitive prices, and pet friendly. The rooms were quiet even though the hotel was booked. Lots of choices for breakfast as well.

Very nice new hotel, just opened in December. Very personable front desk reception. Stayed in a brand new Drury Plaza in Franklin, TN the night before and this hotel may not be as large but it is just as nice. In fact our two room suite had the exact same décor as in the Plaza. The location is ideal. Right off the interstate in a prime location. Both room and hotel were exceptionally clean.
