“What a Waste!”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 31, 2013

Believe me this used to be a family friendly place. We have been taking our kids here for the last 7 years, but will admit that its been a couple years since we've been here. We were shocked and appallled at the place we have referred numerours friends and family to, as a fun get-a-way not to expensive or to far from home. We will never refer anyone again!

The place was filtthy. There was no staff actually cleaning anything. There was only housekeeping guys emptying large trash can after trash can, which smelled of the worse and most foul thing you've every smelled. The trash cans are obviously never cleaned, the trash bags are just changed, so the smells from all of them all over the park is horrible. Imagine trying to eat food with that smell around, no matter where you turn. Oh speaking of food. Don' eat it! The food in the splash Island Cafe will kill you. There were flies flying over everything with dirty washcloths lying next to food, grime all over the walls, floors, counters etc. Once again no actual deep cleaning is being done. The hamburgers were pre-cooked and sitting under a make-shift dish with foil half covering it. There were flies flying over he pre-cooked fries also. The only cooked right then is the pizza which they take out of the oven and sit under heat lamps with flies flying over them also. The portable food places were almost as bad as the cafe, and there was just the smell of rotting old sodas eminating from everywhere.

The entire park was dirty from the chairs and tables, which had not been wiped since the park opened, to the lounge chairs, in the water park. They were grimy with mold on most of them, they had rust on them, the table umbrella had bird poo everywhere, the wave pool had a dirty ring along the side of the wall, and everything was sun-baked and in need of cleaning and painting. The bathrooms for changing and showering were filthy and reeked of urine and the floors were filthy with people tracking through water? urine? or something all over the floors. The smell was horrible to in a few of the bathrooms, and they were dirty and looked like the floors had not been mopped or the bathrooms cleaned since the park openedl

Like I said don't waste your money, this used to be a nice place, but it looks like since the rides no longer work, and the place is running with a skeleton crew, they have not put any money back into the place since they opened. Personally I think the place is unsafe and unclean and should be closed down. I'll never go back.

Such a waste!!!!

“Clean, Well priced, Family oriented”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 26, 2013

This park is a pretty good value compared to the likes of Disney or Universal Studios. Yes, it is quite a bit smaller, but in the summer, Splash Island is worth the cost of the ticket alone- without riding any regular rides. The free concerts included with admission are great as well.

“Nice place”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 25, 2013

This amusement part is very clean and well-laid out. The water park rides look clean, and there are lots of them. The roller coasters are fun. As with all amusement parks, the food is expensive, and gets crowded during the summer. I would go again.

“Great Family Fun”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 23, 2013

This place had it all for my family - water and thrills! My kids had never been on coasters before, so this was great for them. It was a bargain too! We did a two day pass, and that is all we could handle! We would definitely return to this place!

“Fair everyday!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 18, 2013

My family truly enjoyed this park. It was so much fun. We were apprehensive because we were told by a local that the park closes rides when it rains. We didn't want to get tickets and not ride. We arrived at the park, tood the customary picture and began our quest to ride everything. And ride we did! As parents we appreciated the park's policy of making the rides kid friendly. My children enjoyed themselves. This park is like going to the fair with shows.
