For a place that requires reservations, there were a lot of "missing" things. We were told to ignore the specials that this was a transition night. They couldn't offer a soup spoon for my husband because "they were all dirty." there was no beer on draft and they don't make crushed ice drinks (like a daiquiri ). The seafood bisque was good. The pecan crusted chicken was ok and the vegetable medley was very good. The triple tail fish dish was burned.

We half-glanced at this establishment when we arrived (at night) on Tybee Island, and first impression as we passed by was, "just a caff" - for US readers this is a British expression for a rather basic little breakfast and lunch restaurant, much beloved of manual workers, truckers etc.

Ah, how wrong we were! This is a culinary gem of a place, serving good wholesome Southern food with flair, and some style, with simple but attractive decor, nice white tablecloths etc - and a very good wine list too! We ate here twice during our stay on Tybee, and were delighted with the food and the charming and friendly service.

Prices are very reasonable for both quantity and especially, quality. You do need to book - our second visit was on a Monday in early October, and it was packed with both locals and visitors!

At the last minute I went to Sundae cafe - they had a little room at the bar and I had a well-prepared, well-presented and very tasty meal of seared tuna - healthy portion too. Others at same bandb had other menu choices and raved. Need reservations if specific time is desired - I went very early and it filled quickly.

Wow! They always do it right. The food is incredible. This is by far one of my favorite restaurants in the Savannah area. Definitely in the area's top 3. Lunch and dinner are both incredible. Gyros at lunch. Any of the fish entrees they offer for dinner are a must. Love, love this place.

This place is located between a gas station and a liquor store. The best food on the island. Service was great. The steaks melted in your mouth and were perfectly seasoned.
