“Great for a rainy day”
Reviewed September 10, 2012

Took the kids on a rainy day of our vacation and was money well spent. Very informative and interesting for all of us. Small and not a lot to see but better than sitting around in the rain!

“Highlight of our vacation”
Reviewed September 5, 2012

We had a Beach Walk guided tour at the Marine Science Center and our kids (ages 8 and 11) absolutely LOVED it. They were engaged, learned a ton and had fun in the process. This is an absolute not-to-miss place if you have kids and are in the Savannah area.

“Affordable way to support marine science!”
Reviewed August 29, 2012

While this is a very small science center, it is definitely worth the $4.00 admission price. The staff that greeted us was knowledgeable and seemed genuinely excited for us to visit. Be sure to take staff's advice and read the information posted on the walls and tanks and watch the monitors too. You'll learn more about the exhibits and other marine animals too. The touch tank is also cool...my grandson loved that part. The gift shop has some great items too. If nothing else, get a window decal to show your support of marine science!

“Beach walk”
Reviewed August 16, 2012

Visited with a group of Girl Scouts who went on a beach walk to identify small sea creatures, then went inside the exhibit. Rachel, our guide, was very knowledgeable, and obviously loved her job. Her dedication to the well-being of the sea life and the ecological importance of keeping the beach clean and respecting nature was palpable. Very nice outing.

“Science Center”
Reviewed August 8, 2012

The program that they had for the Girl Scouts was great. The girls had a hike along the beach with some sand sifting. They learned about the ecology of the Georgia Coast.
