My wife and I stayed here 2 nights near the end of March. We felt completely welcome and just felt at home in the laid back, relaxing environment. We stayed in the Lighthouse room where the private deck makes you feel like you are in a treehouse. The front garden is just stunning. A peaceful and relaxing place to stay. The hosts are just wonderful with a great sense of humor?

My husband and I were looking for something special to do to celebrate our 10th anniversary. We certainly found something special with Tybee Island Inn! The owners and innkeepers are very gracious and go out of their way to help make their guests comfortable. Lloyd was always ready with suggestions or tips on local attractions, restaurants, and fun things to do. The breakfasts were excellent, and we enjoyed sitting down with the other guests each morning to discuss plans for the day and give each other "reviews" on the local restaurants we had tried. (You may also choose to have your breakfast delivered to you in your room.) Besides the delicious breakfasts, there is also a lovely treat prepared each afternoon and available for guests to help themselves to, along with coffee and tea.

We stayed in the Mermaid Room, which we found to be spacious and comfortable. Our private bathroom was also large and newly renovated. The only negative I could give is that this is the bedroom closest to the lobby, so we could oftentimes hear conversations being held in the lobby area.

The beach is only a 5-10 minute walk away from the front door, as well as the Tybee Island Lighthouse. Several restaurants are also within walking distance or just a few minutes drive away. And of course, historic downtown Savannah is just a 15-minute drive out, or you can take a shuttle or taxi into the city.

We enjoyed our stay at Tybee Island Inn immensely and would not hesitate to recommend it to anyone!

Room Tip: The Mermaid Room was lovely, but right off the lobby. It was a bit noisy at times as guests came in...

We stayed at the Tybee Island Inn for my birthday and it was our first experience at a bed and breakfast. Although we were the youngest couple by 30 or so years, we had an absolute blast and really enjoyed our stay. We stayed in the Flamingo Room, the only pet-friendly room on the property. It was very cute and cozy and had an electric fireplace in the corner of the room which made the room warm and romantic. It was very clean and had no odors of previous pets that have stayed there. The staircase up to the bathroom is extremely narrow though and the bathroom was a decent size, it was tight for both my husband and I to brush our teeth/ get ready. We enjoyed learning the history of the Inn and we were made to feel at home during our entire stay. The breakfast was absolutely phenomenal!!! Five-Star cuisine! My mouth is watering at the thought of it. The first morning we enjoyed breakfast with the other guests in the breakfast hall. The second morning we slept in and we were served breakfast on our porch, which we really enjoyed with the beautiful weather. I would recommend the Tybee Island Inn to anyone looking for a romantic escape or a quiet getaway. They have several chairs throughout the property to relax and read a book. I would choose the Flamingo room again as it was very private (the only room on the lower floor). The Inn is also just a short walk to the beach. Book a room here, you won't be disappointed!

From the time you enter the Inn until you leave you are treated like " family " and made " to feel at home " .
The breakfasts are excellent and the evening " treats " are exceptional . Our room was cosy and well decorated and the bed was very comfortable .
There is a great reasturant near by and other good area dining recomendations come from the staff .
I HIGHLY RECOMMEND !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My fiancee and I stayed in the Savannah Beach room for a Saturday and Sunday night. The room was perfect. It had a cozy king bed, a private bathroom with a jetted tub, and the back porch was right outside the room, which made a great place to have a cup of gourmet coffee prepared by the staff every morning. Gary's breakfasts were fantastic! Stuffed croissants, homemade oatmeal, and fresh juice were delivered to our room as we chose to dine privately. Gary, Julie, and Lloyd were so accommodating and helpful and made us feel right at home. Tybee is not just an island, it's a way of life for these fine folks. I didn't want to leave. The grounds are beautiful, with an old tree complete with Spanish Moss hanging over the intricately landscaped yard. The beach is a two block walk from the front door, and I was able to catch the most amazing sunrise Sunday morning. There are plenty of great restaurants on the island, and there is even a taxi service to Savannah that was recommended by the staff that carried us there and picked us up right on time after we toured the historic district on a walking pub tour. I have stayed in many places in the Southeast, but this gem on Tybee is by far my favorite. We will be back soon!

Room Tip: Loved the Savannah Beach room - private with easy access to the back porch.

We had a terrific time! The gracious owners, Lloyd and Cathy, along with the marvelous innkeepers, Julie and Gary, were wonderful from sun up to sun down. The inn and grounds are beautiful, and each room very unique and cozy. The 5-star breakfasts were AMAZINGLY ... so delicous and served with love in the making. The daily, mid-afternoon sweet treats were out of this world. Our every need was met with sincere southern charm and humble hospitality.

Room Tip: To read about and see photos of each room, check out their website. Call and tell the owners or inn...

My husband and I traveled to Tybee from FL, to celebrate our 1st wedding anniversary. Tybee Island Inn was exactly what we were hoping for, and more. The house is quaint and beautiful and the staff is so friendly. Breakfast was gourmet and delicious, both mornings. Also, the inn is within walking distance to many attractions. We had a great stay!!
