We loved the tour with Dr. Joe! Excellent, informative, fun - loved it. Dr. Joe's expertise was appreciated but what we truly loved was his enthusiasm and approachability. He seemed to enjoy the tour as much as we all did. We would do it again and would certainly recommend it to friends and family. We absolutely loved it.

“Fantastic Experience!!!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 6, 2013

We had spent a few days on the island before we met with Dr. Joe. We looked at the beach but we never really SAW the beach. Dr. Joe's enthusiasm was contagious!!! It was a great experience and we learned so much! There were only 4 of us in the group so there was plenty of opportunity to ask lots of questions and the feed back was great!

“Great experience!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 19, 2013

We spent an evening on the beach with Dr. Joe and I think my kids will remember it their entire life. Our group consisted of the 5 of us and another couple. It was a laid back, informative evening. We learned about the jelly fish that we had been avoiding all weekend (they are not poisonous). Also, the kids had a blast digging for animals and capturing hermit crabs, small fish, worms, snails, etc.
I think by the end of the night they must have netted about 100 creatures to examine. Dr. Joe was knowledgeable and helpful.
My 6 year old stated that it was the best day of his life! My only advice would be to do this tour early in your vacation. We ended up doing it the last evening of our trip and my kids were disappointed that they couldn't spend the next few days exploring the beach.
Thanks Dr. Joe for sharing your passion with us. It was fantastic.

“Excellent. Unique.”

Definitely qualifies for #1 attraction on Tybee. Very interesting. Very hands on. Our group of 4 eleven yr old girls and 4 parents LOVED this activity. 2 hours. At low tide. Talked about it for ages afterwards. Personally i loved it, for what we saw, how much the girls enjoyed it, and because we were taught enough to go back by ourselves and find things later. Thank you! Highly recommend.

“Awesome”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 19, 2013

Our group of 7 got a great deal. We had a blast. There was no way we would have experienced the island in this way without Joe. We will return and be returning customers. He is very interactive with the kids and brought so much to aid in our outing. We even found shark teeth to take home from this. The touch tanks are amazing! Out of everything on Tybee.. I recommend this! Just amazing! He's very educational, but the hands on gets anyone excited about what will be found!
