This place is hard to get to because of the parking. But I definitely recommend it for its laid back atmosphere and spot right on the beach. The food was delicious. I had the veggie sandwich and it was perfect!

Some friends of ours recommended this place. It took a minute to find, but it was well worth looking for it. The food was very good and it is a cute little restaurant. The server was okay. He was busy, so I think that was the issue. He just seemed a little short. Not a big deal. I would go back. Down side - since it is at the beach, take quarters. You will have to pay for parking (like you do EVERYWHERE in Tybee).

We ate here after the Beach Bum parade. The atmosphere is really nice, low lighting by the beach, shack like restaurant. They also had live music on Friday night. The staff was super friendly. Taught us how to peel shrimp, check on us several times, brought refills super fast. The food was all fresh and delicious. The fries are totally worth it. The chocolate cake was rich and gooey :). It was a really great meal. It was family friendly. The only thing that could be improved is the bathroom. It was super small and only one and there was always a line.

This laid back shack where the low country locals come to the beach. It's away from the major business district on the other side of Tybee Island. The service was excellent. I thought I would try the Black Bean Dip for an appetizer because I rarely see this on a menu. It was outstanding. My whole family tried it and they all said it was outstanding. The prices were very good. You could get a Red Stripe 16oz beer for only $2.00. If you want to get down with the locals, this is a good place to stop for a beer and bite.

The thing about north beach bar and grill is the atmosphere...Tybee island is quite chill compared to your Myrtle Beaches of the world...nonetheless, there is a "touristy" section of the island and then there are little pockets of your "local" areas...NBBG is one of them.
I do have to say i enjoyed the very low-key atmosphere...a few beers, a burger...some chilled out island music...Most people pass this by, even though there is a big beach parking lot right there...
The foods decent for the price...my biggest complaint would be the fries were a little soggy for my liking, but a couple of beers into my meal balances that one out..;) it would be nice also to be on the beach, but...eh...a small walk puts you over the dunes and by the ocean, so..thats the compromise...all in all, a decent place to grab a quick bite after leaving the beach!
