Sought out the Monday market from 4-7 pm while checking out the lighthouse and north beach. Fun with interesting buys from art objects and jewelry to honey and unique healthy treats. The interesting vendors capped off this Tybee experience. Get there!

With 127 steps to reach the top, it can be a bit of a trek. The view from the top is worth every drop of sweat.

The climb to the top affords a wonderful view of the surrounding area. Plus you can see Cockspur Lighthouse & Fort Pulaski from there. The docent in the lighthouse was extremely knowledgeable about the history & surrounding area. The grounds & buildings have been beautifully restored. Your admission also includes touring the battery across the street. That is worth going through also & seeing the views from the top.

We really enjoyed visiting the Tybee Island Lighthouse! The staff was very knowledgeable and pleasant.
I was admittedly pretty sore after the hike to the top of the lighthouse but that’s simply due to me being out of shape. If you have troubles with steps or breathing etc, I would suggest admiring all that’s to be seen outside and nearby the lighthouse.

It's worth the climb up the 178 steps of the lighthouse! The view is spectacular and if one takes a brief rest on the landings placed every 25 steps, it's not so difficult. The light and ground have been beautifully restored and maintained and are well worth a visit. The staff are very friendly and helpful.
