“Great pizza for a reasonable price.”

Food was good and so was the service. Beer was cold with frosty mugs. The only thing that needs improving was that the sauce was a little bland. Liked their dough.

“Beach Pizza”
Reviewed September 20, 2013

This pizzeria has inside and outside seating. Beachy ambiance is cute. Their self-proclaimed "Tybee" pizza crust is very good -- my kids even ate their crust! The pizza is a little greasy, but what good self-respecting pizza isn't?

Excellent, excellent service! Kudos to the staff!

“Yes, I'm hooked!”
Reviewed September 19, 2013

We rented a house on Tybee's Back River area for Labor Day week. While we were there, we had Lighthouse Pizza delivered 3 times!!!! (No, I'm not proud of it, but it's true.) Each time it arrived totally fresh and HOT! And each time it was perfectly delicious! Sitting on our dock on the Back River eating Lighthouse Pizza while enjoying a cold drink is definitely the life for us!!!

“Horrible pizza and service”
Reviewed September 12, 2013

We ordered two calzones and the deluxe specialty pizza (small). The pizza tasted extremely bland and the dough wasn't cooked all the way through either, besides being small enough to only satisfy a munchkin-not much bigger than a Pizza Hut personal pan pizza, but costing $13-what a rip off. There was no discernible ricotta-none that we could see at all-in either of the calzones, and very little mozzarella cheese. The toppings they did put in the calzones tasted horrible. We couldn't believe the cost of the food for what we got - our bill was $40 for horrible tasting food that wasn't enough food to even fill us/satisfy us whatsoever...what a waste.

And to top it all off, as soon as we walked in the door, the boy behind the counter literally shoved four cups into my hand without asking or saying anything. Then when we sat down, we found out that they only served bottled water and fountain sodas...no tap water. Essentially, you are required to buy a drink (at $2.50 each for fountain drinks or $2.00 for bottled water, meaning they require you to pay $8-$10 for drinks for four people). You are not allowed to bring any drinks from outside, even water. After we had already ordered, they made us leave because we had our own water. We had to take our food in boxes, and try to carry them on our bikes to go eat the crappy $40 worth of food elsewhere. What a rip off...horrible food and horrible service to boot.

There are so many other great places to eat on Tybee Island, forget this horrible, terrible, no good place and go somewhere else. We agree with Ryan D's review-"Pricey, small-portioned, bland tasting pizza. Stay away...far away!"

“Good but not great...”
Reviewed September 7, 2013

Better than the chain restaurants, but I thought Pizza on Wheels was much better... My experience with Lighthouse Pizza was ok overall, the service was fast and friendly, the pizza was ok overall, but it didn't, "wow" me... The crust seemed paper thin, there were many spots on the pizza where you could see inches of red sauce and no cheese, and the crust itself wasn't anything amazing as others have written... Pizza lovers should give it a shot, but don't be afraid to try others as well!
