Don’t think twice about heading to the Serengeti, definitely a lifetime experience not to miss. Went to catch the river crossings in the North, and the whole experience from central/southern Serengeti all the way to the North was just spectacular. Saw so many lions, massive herds of wildebeest, a cheetah on a kill and a river crossing hunt. My best holiday by far.

We highly recommend DETASA if you plan to go on safari to Tanzania. The company keeps a small number of vehicles providing the best safari guides. Our guide Ayubu was the best guide we could ask for. He has 20 years of experience. His knowledge of the roads and wildlife is superb. He took excellent care of us. Our week went smoothly while we were traveling between Arusha, Taranguire, Lake Manyara, Ngorongoro crater and crossing the Serengeti from the south all the way to the north. We had a lot of fun during game drive and really enjoy our time in the north of Tanzania. For us this was a trip of a lifetime. Thanks Ayubu and DETASA!!!

Wonderfull trackings to do each day. Of course visit popular places like seronera Area (so many animals to see on a relative small place). But also go to the relatively “quite” places like Banagi for example.

If you really want to experience the wilderness then it has to be Serengeti.
Now depending upon your interest (s),the specific zones might attract you.Generally the central zone is most visited and all year around packed with tourists.
Though the migrations, weather patterns have changed since last few years but overall the peak season still remains from july to october.
Enjoy the ultimate wildlife experience.

The Great Serengeti conjures up many images and the reality is even better than you can imagine. Loaded with Big Five animals, you will get up close and personal with them and you will never want to go to another Zoo again, because after you see these wondrous creatures up close in their natural habitat, nothing else will do.
