I went with the family on a Friday fried chicken night. Yes the chicken was real good, but that's the only positive thing about this place. This place is a glorified high school cafeteria, it was dirty, cheap dingy decor, and really quite depressing to be in. I felt bad for the wife and kids since it was my idea for our weekly dinner out. As for the "hometown feel", give me a break, all the food servers were illegals who couldn't understand English at all. If you go, which I would never recommend, at least learn how to say 'chicken leg', or 'thigh', or 'wing', in Spanish, it'll save you lots of time, believe me. Oh, there was one, and only one, American working there, the woman collecting the money at the cash register, of course. How Matthews can hope to foster a hometown feel by screwing over Americans to blatantly hire illegals who don't even speak English is absolutely beyond me.
