Airborne History Museum had a great collection of photos and memorabilia from the training center that was located here during WWII.

“Museum”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 4, 2012

This little museum is ran by volunteers with only 2 full time staff. On the first Wednesday of each month they prepare a breakfast for Veterans. The museum itself is very interesting and I learned a lot from the trip here.

“Wonderful Experience!”

Very well done! If you are a fan of the Band of Brothers, you must go to the museum. The artifacts that have been donated are so nice to see and the items have been well kept.

“For everyone - not just military buffs!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 9, 2012

The building is located in the downtown area which is so quaint. You may also see the stable which members of 101st stayed at. It was documented in the Band of Brothers. I saw items that my Father carried and used when he was in WWII. Very interesting and the folks that take care of the building are so nice and willing to help you with anything and everything. Well worth the time and money - $8.00 per adult.

“Miltary history brought to life.”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 31, 2012

The only thing that makes this a less than excellant review is that on several of the artifacts the curators placed stickers on the actual item instead of a small note card beside or on top of the item. This is the only thing that made me reconsidering placing my collection of WWI items on loan. For now they remain on display in my home. Other than that great military history that brings the past back to life. The stable is amazing!
