“Country Cooking At Its Best”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 9, 2014

My husband and I eat here on most Sundays after church. It's a great local spot with kind "folks" and family gatherings. The food is excellent with great flavor. The menu throughout the week changes, but on Sundays, it is basically the same with butterbeans, green beans, mac and cheese, rice/gravy, fried chicken, baked chicken, dressing/gravy, peach cobbler, and even a salad bar. Don't forget the banana pudding! The food is consistently delicious in both taste and calories. Vegetables are seasoned with the southern touch of ham hocks and fat back! Since it is a buffet, the price is reasonable. If you like to eat healthy with low-fat choices, this is not the place for you, but if you yearn for the cooking of Grandma, it's a winner. The only "con" might be that it does get crowded after church, making the place a little crowded and warm. The décor isn't fancy and has a rather "worn" look about it. But don't let this scare you away from a great meal.

“Southern buffet that is finger lickin' good”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 11, 2012

If you love Southern food and enjoy the selection a buffet has to offer this is the place to go. The variety is good, the food is consistently delicious, the prices are reasonable.

You usually find fried chicken (my favorite), dressing, various vegetables, and peach cobbler on the menu. The food items offered will vary somewhat.

“Best Southern Cooking I've had for the money...”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 30, 2011

Ivery's is a small locally owned restaurant offering real Southern cooking that is reasonably priced; the quality is always consistent. Although the building is older, it is clean and well maintained. Their waitstaff is very efficient and friendly. They offer 3 different meats daily along with 2 desserts and a wide variety of vegetables. The menu changes daily. If you like perfectly seasoned fried chicken; this is the place. This is the second time we have eaten at Ivery's, and I only wish they weren't located 800 miles from my home!
