“Beautiful B&B”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 17, 2013

My husband and I stayed at Freedom Oaks B&B in order to attend a wedding at Pebble Hill Plantation. The inn has been beautifully restored and is warm and comfortable. Our host was extremely gracious, sharing lots of historical information about the inn, the town and Pebble Hill. As others have stated, the inn is situated conveniently close to downtown Thomasville. After a wonderful breakfast, I was sad to leave after only a one night stay. If you want to stay in a B&B while visiting Thomasville, Freedom Oaks is a good choice.

We spent two nights at this beautiful restored Queen Anne Victorian home. This house is conveniently located one block from the big Oak Tree and four blocks from the #1 restaurant Jonah's Fish and Grits in town. You have to eat there at least once if you ever come to visit Thomasville. The host is very gracious and will tell you all you want to know about the history of this beautiful town. Unfortunately, we did not get to meet the hostess as she was out of town.
We stayed at Southern Charm and loved the beautiful furniture in the room. The curtain is not fully closed. So you will get some sun light in the morning. We really enjoyed our stay and recommend it to anyone who enjoys fine furniture and beautiful historical home with good value.

Room Tip: Southern Charm Room is decorated with Gone with Wind Scene.

Spent Friday night at this B&B and really enjoyed it. "Touch of Gold" was a great experience for my wife and I. The breakfast was excellent and so was the hospitality, as they were very accomodating. Highly recommend this B&B.

My husband and I stayed at Freedom Oaks two nights. Bob and Peggy are the perfect hosts - every need was met, recommendations for things to do and restaurants were provided and even phone calls made for us, breakfast was out of this world - yet we had absolute privacy when we wanted it. The Inn is lovely - beautifully decorated, spotlessly clean, comfortable and ideally located. Freedom Oaks was one of out very best B&B experiences.

My husband is a Florida State grad and huge fan, so we make frequent trips to Tallahassee for football games and have found that Thomasville is the most convenient place to stay. We decided to stay at a B&B instead of a hotel this trip and chose Freedom Oaks because the photos on the website were very appealing, and they offer a 10% discount to active duty and retired military. Are we ever glad we did! Everything about our stay was perfect. We were late in arriving, but Bob & Peggy were not at all put out, greeted us warmly, and made us feel right at home - despite the fact that my husband is a Seminole, and they're Gators! :)
The house has been beautifully restored and decorated yet is very comfortable and immaculate. I liked the fact that there were several common areas, so we didn't feel confined to our room like we often do in hotels. The breakfasts were delicious and the table elegant.
We will definitely be back on our next trip to Tallahassee!

We had a lovely stay at Freedom Oaks over our wedding weekend. I stayed in the Angels Among Us room the Friday evening before our wedding and slept like a baby despite bridal jitters. Bob was very gracious in welcoming us and showing us around, and made a special accomodation for me and my bridesmaids to have breakfast together. Breakfast was fantastic! Apple and cheddar quiche with the most delicious sausage I've ever had, plus coffee, orange juice, mini muffins, and strawberries with yogurt. Everyone really enjoyed themselves in the beautifully decorated dining room.

The room was the perfect size for the girls to get ready in and since it has two bathrooms and a large vanity mirror with 2 sinks, no one had to fight over make-up space.

My new husband and I also spend our wedding night in the room. Bob was sweet enough to chill a bottle of champagne for us. We were sorry to skip a private breakfast, but our sweet families had spent all morning making us brunch!

To top it all off, I left my credit card in the room somehow in all the getting ready ruckus. Bob and Peggy mailed it back to me express! I should mention that we originally chose to stay at Freedom Oaks instead of the other well-known B&B in town because they were so understanding of us needing to arrive late after our wedding reception and we'll definitely be back the next time we need a lovely place to stay in Thomasville!

Freedom Oaks is truly remarkable; the rooms are beautiful and spotlessly clean. We especially enjoyed the common areas which were spacious and convenient to each of the rooms. Our bath room was modern and very attractive. The bed was very comfortable, but if you are short be prepared to use the provided stool to get into bed. Bob and Peggy are great hosts, and made us feel as welcome as in a friend’s home. Bob’s a good cook and will put pounds on you at breakfast if you’re not careful. We will definitely return on our next get away weekend and we recommend Freedom Oaks to anyone who appreciates fine surroundings and pleasant company.
