Visited The Rock Ranch in The Rock, Georgia yesterday, about 90 minutes south - southwest from Atlanta.

It was the annual Strawberry Festival which in combination with the nice weather seemed to be a good reason to visit.

Many activities for the kids, multiple slides, zip lining, rock climbing, corn hole, Tiny town, cow train for toddlers, tire swings, and many many more. Kids had a blast, the farm and terrain is well kept, service is good.

The only negative was the strawberry picking. When we arrived at 11.30AM the lady at the entrance told us we could do the strawberry picking later in the afternoon and do all other activities first. But when we arrived at the strawberry fields at 4PM we were only able to find a grand total of 4 unripe under-grown strawberries. Which was supposed to be the highlight to end the afternoon was a big disappointment.

Next time we’ll have to arrive earlier and start of with the strawberry picking and put them in a cooler in the car so the kids can enjoy the activities afterwards.

Other then that this is a great activity to do with small kids and enjoy beautiful Georgia!

I keep trying to find different holiday things to do with the grandkids for the Christmas holidays. Stone mountain was so far for us and SO many people you couldn't do much of what is there. pretty pricey as well. Callaway is ridiculous, drive thru half working light show takes 20 min. SO, We tried Christmas at the Rock ranch. It was reasonably priced, doesn't take long and had the most amazing Santa and it didn't take even 3 min in line to see him. We enjoyed it so and the food is all Chick fil a fare. well priced as well.

Enjoyed strawberry ice cream (made with strawberries from their farm) while rocking in their huge wooden rocking chairs. It was a pleasant visit.

My family visited for the free Easter celebration this past weekend, (so I don't know how much admission usually is). It was crowded, but you could tell some time and effort had been put into trying to organize things and make them run smoothly. If it weren't for some greedy parents, things probably would have, but we won't go into that. The ranch itself is huge and gorgeous with tons of things for small children to do (think carousel, huge bouncy pillow, multiple playgrounds, farm animals, and more in the middle of several acres of beautiful farm land to run in). There were several small concession stand type places to grab a bite to eat: popcorn, wraps, ice cream, Chickfila sandwiches, etc, and prices were reasonable. We bought a souvenir mug for $8 with unlimited free refills and definitely got our money's worth! My family was there from open to close and we were exhausted due to the amount of walking we did, and we didn't even get to do everything there was to offer! But everyone agreed it was a fun time and we'd like to go back. Maybe not at Easter though, when adults are showing just how selfish and terrible they can be, but at another time for sure.
