“Nice attraction”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 15, 2014

Visited on a Monday with our two young boys and had a very nice time apart from arctic winds lol. Birds all looked very well looked after and aviarys very clean and admission was very reasonable, only gripe is price and quality of food which was just below par, £4.50 for a toasted cheese sandwich with a small trace of cheese!! Will return sometime but with a packed lunch

“Enjoyable and Educational for all ages”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 4, 2014

My wife and I visited the Raptor Foundation on Sunday and spent about three hours there. It was very interesting looking around at all of the birds but the highlight was definitely the flight display which lasted around 45 minutes and included at least half a dozen species. The staff were very knowledgeable and everyone in the audience seemed to enjoy the show - particularly the children...

We also went into the reptile and meercat building (which I was surprised to find cost an additional £3 per person) and that was also excellent. The meercats are great and we want to go back to have the 'experience' in which you can have them climbing all over you in the enclosure. We did have the opportunity to hold some of the snakes though which was brilliant and again, the staff here had a great deal of information to share.

Our lunch in the cafe was good value and tasty - bigger portion that I expected which is always nice. There seemed to be plenty of designated space for those who prefer to bring a picnic lunch too.

We are definitely going back when the weather is warmer to spend longer looking around.

“Great day Out”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 1, 2014

Fantastic day out including handling Owls Eagles and Buzzards; Flying Displays and rounded off by a very pleasant lunch and balloons and party bags. Perhaps what you would not expect for a 60th birthday with 4 generations of family. Staff were really amazing and could not fault the place in any way. There is something for everyone. Great place and great value.

“Excellent value for money”

This place is definitely worth a visit! The birds all look fantastic and the flying display was interesting and fun to watch. The owners were friendly and informative and gave us ample opportunities to see the birds close up and take pictures. Young and old alike will enjoy their time here! Also there are meerkats and reptiles to visit so really there is something for every one. There is a tea room which serves food and is bright and friendly and a well stocked shop. I would definitely recommend visiting and will be coming again soon!

“Wish we had had longer”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 9, 2014

I had organised a Meerkat Experience for my daughter for her birthday. I managed to get a booking for 1.30pm less than a week befor at the weekend. We didnt know what to expect when we travelled from the midlands. When we arrived we were greeted by a friendly lady and took to the amphibian type house where the meerkats were. There were 8 of them in an enclosure and also other amphibians we were able to get close to and hold a snake and a chinese dragon there is also a tarantula if you wish to hold that too. The experience with the meerkats last for half an hour and costs £50 for 1 person or £80 for two,you get to play and feed the meerkats and you can take photos and i took a camcorder too although they do do photos for you which are included or a magnet or keyring. To visit the amphibian house and see the meerkats only is £3.There is someone there with you and gives lots of information about meerkats and answers question , the staff are very knowledgeable.
There is a also Birds of prey etc but it is run by a different company and pay extra for. There is also a coffee shop. We had unfortunately run out of time and had to make our way back so didnt get to see the birds but we will certainly return in the summer.
We spent around 1 hr there, just in the one house.
