My husband, daughter, and I stayed at this hotel while visiting my sister in the area. If you are visiting the area for Stone Mountain, Comfort Inn & Suites and very close to the park so that is definitely a pro.

The staff member we encountered was very friendly, and helpful. She even had to play a dual role as a maintenance woman! My husband went to get a soda, and when he came back he realized he was able to open the door without his key. He went downstairs to let the front desk know, and the young woman immediately came up to check on the problem herself, and then fixed it (the lock needed new batteries).

The hotel itself was in decent shape. Walking in, it sort of felt like you were going into someone's home, there was a nice feel to it. Our room was on the third floor, and we did notice the hallway definitely smelled like cigarette smoke. We had a non-smoking room, though, and the odor did not continue on into the room. The room was simple and clean enough. Our alarm clock didn't work and I unplugged it to charge my phone, and there was quite a bit of dust on the cords, but that's not something most people would notice! The beds were comfortable, the bathroom was clean. We didn't see anything that caused us concern.

The breakfast they offered was nice -- fruit, pastries, cereal, a waffle iron and batter... It looked like the food was plentiful and there was a nice variety, at least everyone in our picky family was satisfied!

If you have kids, the indoor pool would be a big hit! It's deepest point is only 5 feet, and it's rather narrow, so it feels nice and safe!

While the hotel could probably use a quick once-over to update it and maybe tidy it up, but overall it was a fine place to stay!

We stayed at the Comfort Inn and Suites for 2 nights in mid-July. This motel is in a great location if you are planning on visiting Stone Mountain - about 5 minutes away. We liked that we could leave the park and go back to the motel to rest before going back to the nighttime laser show. The staff was awesome. I needed to fax some documents and both the nighttime and daytime managers helped me out with this. The breakfast was good - a cut above other Comfort Inns that we have stayed at with hot sausages, eggs and donuts.

This is not a new property and our room was showing it's age. There was a small hole in the wall, the fabric on one of the desk chairs was torn and the paint was peeling in some spots. There were also several large stains in the carpeting. Our room could have been cleaner too. The business center (a PC in a closet) could have been cleaner too as there were candy wrappers on the desk and floor and paper and pens strewn about.

Since we didn't spend a lot of time in the room, it wasn't a big deal to us, but may be for some others.

While their website lists room for only up to 5 persons, we were pleasantly surprised when direct booking with the hotel to find out they have rooms that sleep 6 -- 2 queens and a pull out queen, with mini fridge and microwave. Of course, the pull out is a pull out, but the smaller kids (8 and 10) didn't mind. The "real" beds were extremely comfortable. The staff, especially the morning breakfast servers, were very friendly and helpful. We stayed here because it was close to Stone Mountain and we wanted to see the laser show. We would definitely stay here again.

My husband and I had planned a trip to Atlanta for a Braves game in March. We both like the Stone Mountain area and figured it would be convenient to stay there and drive in to Atlanta for the game. The hotel is a little hard to get to, but once you figure out the entrance, the hotel itself is a nice one. I had made reservations online, and since my husband has some arthritis in his hips and back had requested a walk in shower instead of the tub. When we got to our room, the bathroom was just the standard bathroom with tub and shower. When we asked the clerk about it, they did offer to move us, but since we had already unpacked and were tired from the drive we decided to stay. The hotel itself was quiet and comfortable. Bed was comfortable enough with plenty of pillows. Shower worked adequately, nothing over the top. We did not try the complimentary continential breakfast. We did have a coffee maker in room but few condiments especially when there were two people drinking coffee. Luckily we had brought our own supplies. The complimentary high speed internet was just ok, not quite high speed but better than dial up. We were not able to get the ipad connected in the room even though the desk clerk connected it at the desk so the signal was not all that great. If you are going for a few days, this would be an ok hotel to stay at. Be mindful of the entrance though, it is tough to find at night, especially when it is raining.

Room Tip: Be mindful if you book online and request special amenities that you verify with the desk clerk when you check in.

Very nice hotel really close to Stone Mountain to stay at if you do not want to pay for the resort at the Mountain.
Older hotel with slow elevator but clean and nice staff. Nice banquet room great place I would think for a youth group....
