We stopped in for lunch on one of our shopping trips. Awesome food great service and friendly staff. You have to get the ice cream. The food was plentiful, so I took half of my sandwich home so I would have room for dessert.
Their burgers are good but I absolutely love those skinny fries! And did I mention the 2 types of dipping sauces? Jalapeño and regular; both are amazing!
As much as I might hate to admit it, I grew up on frozen custard, KOPPS... If you want the best custard, your find it in American's Dairy State; Wisconsin. However, this is the southeast, so this is probably as good as it gets in Georgia. Freddy's has good custard, I'll give them that and by the looks of the parking lot you can see it is definitely a HUGE hit in Snellville. Why? Probably because it is different for the region and most people here, have no idea what the difference between Ice Cream, Frozen Custard, Sherbet, Gelato, Frozen Yogurt, Soft Serve, or Sorbet is. There is a difference.
If you like frozen custard, Freddy's is worth checking out. So far I tried their chocolate frozen custard shake and a waffle vanilla cone. Both were good. Customer service is great as well (the two times I been here, but they are rushed). Just keep in mind, this place is less than a month old, so it is very packed whether eating in or going through the drive thru. Best of luck finding a parking spot.
Besides the long lines and having a hard time find a parking spot, my only gripe is that to be completely honest their custard is overpriced, probably because they have little to zero competition. This includes burgers too that are overpriced at $8.
Come for the custard, grill the burgers at home on the pit.
These might be better hamburgers than Steak and Shake! The food is wonderful and the frozen yogurt can't be beat! In fact, it should be a five-star fast food joint. There is just one (major) problem with Freddy's: it takes FOREVER to go through the drive-through! I'm not sure if it's just this location (it is relatively new) or a problem at all Freddy's restaurants. We have been to the drive-through twice--and it took more than 20 minutes each time. Perhaps the service is better inside--but this is a fast food restaurant that is anything but fast. If you have time to sit through a long line--the food is definitely worth it, but my guess is that people will head down the road to Steak and Shake if they want a great burger.
We're very sorry to hear about your experience in the drive thru. We'd really like to put you in touch with the regional manager and use your input for training purposes! In the interest of your privacy, we ask that you send your contact information through our website at freddysusa.com/connect.
