Description: Hammocks Trading Company is the choice for high quality seafood in North Atlanta. Local owners Jason Sheetz and William Sigley pride themselves on great food, service, bar, and atmosphere. Together they have 50 years of restaurant experience at the best restaurants in Atlanta and Las Vegas. Hammocks combines our attention to detail with a casual neighborhood feel. Our most reviewed items include the BBQ Oysters and the Baked Salmon. Both were reviewed in the AJC and on Atlanta Eats. Our menu features cuisine from the southern coastal regions of the United States. Gumbo, Shrimp and Grits are just a few examples. Our fresh veggies include fried okra, fried green tomatoes, and collard greens. The grouper sandwich has become known as the best in town. Our other sandwiches include the Crispy Shrimp or Oyster Po-Boys, Lobster Roll, Smoked Chicken Salad and the Salmon BLTA. We are family friendly and have options for all ages. Every item from the kitchen is made from scratch.

Never had a bad meal here. Have become a regular at this point. Great fresh seafood options, appetizers and salad. Lobster roll delicious and when they have red fish as a special it’s a must.

Food is tasty, but portions are pretty small, prices are high, the service was inattentive, and for these prices, its ridiculous that you don't get either a small dinner salad or even bread on the table.

We visited for the first time. We were seated immediately since we had made a reservation. It took a while to get service, but several employees offered to get our drinks while waiting. After ordering, the food came out quickly. We had garlic parmesan oysters, a fried seafood appetizer, grouper tacos, and a 3 side platter. First time I had deep fried lemon slices with my fish appetizer. They were sour, but not too bad. The oysters and grouper tacos were especially delicious. The cheese grits and jalapeno cornbread were tasty. Only the fried green tomatoes were not up to par. They were sliced too large and were tough. Overall it was a fun experience for a relaxing night out.

Recently had lunch with a friend and colleague and we chose Hammocks Trading Company. Kind of a weird name for a delightful seafood oriented restaurant but it is excellent.

Although I had eaten there before it had been a while. It was not crowded (not sure if that is a good sign or bad one) so we were able to eat and talk and enjoy the food. I had the catfish and it was outstanding. It was served with fried okra and collard greens and was an outstanding lunch.

The gumbo is so good I took a carryout order to my partner as she did not have time to eat lunch that day.

You could drive by this restaurant dozens of times and not even notice it as it is very plain looking place with no distinguishing features. However, the food and service were excellent and we will return. Try it !!

From the tasty jalapeno margaritas, to the fresh, fresh fish, raw oysters, the most amazing roasted cauliflower at a chocolate dessert to beat all chocolate desserts our party of 10 ranging in age from 4 - 70 all had a wonderful dinner at this hidden-gem in Sandy Springs.

Highly, highly recommend if you love fresh seafood in a casual setting making you feel like you're at the beach.
