The walks along the banks of the Chattahoochee are beautiful. There are many different areas, each offering a different experience. Some are very easy and others a bit more challenging. All are lovely in their own way. We buy an annual parks pass for $25 and can then park at any national park without dealing with dollar bills and the drop boxes ($3.00 per visit to park without the pass). There are over 15 different "areas", each at a different location offering different terrain and views. We particularly enjoy Island Ford, which also houses the ranger station where you can get maps of the whole system.
