“This place was not as good as I expected.”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 11, 2013

We had a large party to eat here and our server was new and did not take care of us very well . The service was slow and the food was only average and 3 people in our party did not get what they ordered to eat. I would not recommend it as there are so many other places to choose form here on the island.

“Wonderful Fried Oysters”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 9, 2013

We love the new extended deck at Mullet Bay. While the service can be slow and the servers not that friendly, the food usually makes up for it. Get the Greek salad and add the fried oysters. They don't list it that way but I always create my own dish and have no problem asking for what I want. You will love it!

“Enjoyed a great lunch.”

Coconut shrimp with pineapple salsa was very good, also enjoyed the shrimp and lobster bisque. The bisque was lacking in shrimp and lobster, but had a great flavor. Friends had the oyster poboy and blackened fish sandwich and they enjoyed them both. Service was great. No complaints.

“Enjoyed our dinner”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 28, 2013 via mobile

Mullet Bay was our first choice for our first night on St. Simons.

First, the hostess who escorted us to our table was rude. She barely acknowledged us and never checked to see if we were following her thru the very busy restaurant.

The waitress was on the spot. She gave us additional time without it being too much. She explained the specials and explained about regular menu items. We have special diet needs: no fried, etc and she patiently explained and then repeated what items could cone grilled. Kudos to her for patience.

Lobster and bisque soup: very very good. Nice creamy soup eith bits of lobster.

Good small salad as appetizer.

Grilled shrimp and grilled mahi mahi (brushed with butter) pronounced very very good. Veg of tomatoes with okra very very good.

Chicken piccata very good

Lobster and shrimp salad very good

One problem: lots of white lettuce in the salad. Salads should be predominantly green, esp. Caesar salads.

We didnt have dessert.

As for atmosphere: family friendly. Busy busy but it didnt intrude on our conversation. Steve Miller, Eagles, CCR, and other 70s hits on the speakers.

Chicken piccata

“So good!”

We went at about 3:30 after climbing the lighthouse. We walked there in about 3 minutes. I loved the décor! Old coastal theme! Service was great and the fried shrimp was amazing!!!!
