Very good and huge salads at reasonable prices. And they have a beer special for around two bucks if you ask. Our friends always request we go to this cafe when they visit. I think because it has the "island" atmosphere. Fried local shrimp is great and so is the chicken casadia.

I went with a group of 12 Sunday night and they had no trouble accomodating the group. The menu selections had something for everyone and everyone at the table enjoyed their food. If you have a small child, they have color crayons on the table for them to decorate their place to eat! It was a nice evening for the diners eating outside!

Tried Mullet Bay for the first time. We were greeted immediately by a friendly staffer and seated at a booth. A wait person came right away and after reviewing the menu, we ordered. We ordered the seafood platter, which came with 2 sides. Although they were out of oysters (as was everyone else, too), the portion was more than plentiful and the food was not at all greasy. They offer some good sides, like stewed tomatoes and ocra. The catfish and clams were very good, as were the local shrimp. The service was attentive.

The exterior looks like it would be a great place to eat with the wrap around porch but that's the best part of this restaurant. We decided to give this place a second shot after a bad experience the prior year we were here on vacation. BIG MISTAKE!!! I have no idea why this place is still in business. A previous reviewer describes the food as worse than hospital food...I would have to agree. It's a shock to me how bad the service, food and cleanliness is. The place is DIRTY! We just hoped none of the blowers above us came on while we were there. The rafters are black and dusty. Exactly how they were many years ago when we ate here. The table and seats were dirty. This place needs to be shut down by the health dept. but even more so because they DO NOT DESERVE your business or money. Do not eat here...please.

We went here on Sunday evening because there's not much else open on St. Simon's on Sunday. The building is pretty to look at and it has a huge wrap around porch with tables. The bar inside was festive with a lot of people watching football. But, in my opinion, go there for drinks and find someplace else to eat. We almost left because it took so long for the waitress to bring the menus. When the food did arrive it was simply average at best.
