We booked last minute and really enjoyed our stay. Price is extremely reasonable. You are in walking distance to the pier, lighthouse, and all the restaurants and shops along the way. The rooms are small; that's why the 4 stars. I would want to stay here a full week for that reason. The little balconies are cute. The bed was comfortable and water was hot in the shower. The pool in the courtyard is small, but perfect for cooling off after walking the town. Don't plan a day to sun there; it's pretty shaded. The pub is great reasonably priced. Nice to have right outside your door for a nightcap. Overall we really enjoyed it and we'll be back for a weekend trip.

The folks at The Village Inn & Pub were great! RB in the Pub makes you feel like you have been friends forever. The desk staff is friendly and very competent. The rooms are very different from any of those chain hotels. We had a room with two balconies. Great restaurants are within walking distance in downtown SSI. One of the most comfortable beds I have ever slept in. We would return there in a heartbeat!

A very rustic and quaint place. Charming and rustic get away very close to downtown St. SImon. Room is small but nice and clean. Breakfast was small but filling and delicious coffee. Lounge at night is a good place to wind up the day.

The Inn is rustic, charming, clean. The beds are comfortable, the rooms with queen beds, small, sans chairs to sit in. The pub is a grand place to gather at Happy Hour. In the morning the Continental Breakfast is well supplied with coffees, teas, fruit, juice, cereal and bread stuffs, together with cream cheese, jams, butter, hard boiled eggs and comfortable tables and chairs. The pool is a cooler, not an exerciser. We stay there because it's across the street and 100 paces or so, from the Georgia Sea Grill, a magnificent eating and drinking establishment. We like wine and cosmo's with our dinner. We do not like flashing lights, personal attention from grumpy blue uniforms, personalized tickets, fines or doing involuntary community service. It's a short walk from table to bed at the Inn. But, the parking leaves much to be desired. There are no handicapped slots by the back gate closest to the apartment complex. If you arrive late in the evening you may have to drop off the bags and hustle parking somewhere else in town. Not cool.

Room Tip: Suites on second floor.

I've stayed at this facility for the last several years and enjoyed every stay. However, my friends have had nothing but constant problems with their room keys and for the last two days I have had sewer gas to deal with.
Tonight, I had to sleep in the truck because we spent all night trying to get into my friends room and I did not get a chance to go in my room before the night person( who was a fabulous person) got away for the night and I realized the sewer gas smell was over coming me and making me nauseous.
This will be my last stay and last recommendation to anyone about this place.
