This was our first time visiting Saint Simons Island so didn't know what to expect as far as location and proximity to restaurants, shopping etc. I based my choice of this Inn from reading others' reviews and am glad I did. It is like a hidden gem. You feel like you are staying in an out of the way mini-resort but it's actually within walking distance of the pier, light house, beach and many restaurants and shops. The inn is quaint and picturesque with a nice secluded courtyard and pool as well as a small, but very nice bar and lobby. The bar is open to the public and was very corwded one night with people flowing out into the pool area. But not a problem unless you wanted to get a drink you had to fight through the crowd and wait in line. We brought our own wine/liquor so not a problem for us. the second night we saw non-guests entering the bar from the street but never became crowded like the first night. The continental breakfast was adequate and the coffee good, as were the fresh baked cookies in the afternoon. The rooms were very clean, comfortable and nicely decorated. The only complaint I can find is that when were ready to check out at 6:50am the lobby doors were locked and we couldn't get in or get to the coffee pot so left anyway. I would highly recommend this inn regardless of what your age is. We saw guests of all ages here.
