“Felt Like A Little Private Resort”
Reviewed October 5, 2013

This was our first time visiting Saint Simons Island so didn't know what to expect as far as location and proximity to restaurants, shopping etc. I based my choice of this Inn from reading others' reviews and am glad I did. It is like a hidden gem. You feel like you are staying in an out of the way mini-resort but it's actually within walking distance of the pier, light house, beach and many restaurants and shops. The inn is quaint and picturesque with a nice secluded courtyard and pool as well as a small, but very nice bar and lobby. The bar is open to the public and was very corwded one night with people flowing out into the pool area. But not a problem unless you wanted to get a drink you had to fight through the crowd and wait in line. We brought our own wine/liquor so not a problem for us. the second night we saw non-guests entering the bar from the street but never became crowded like the first night. The continental breakfast was adequate and the coffee good, as were the fresh baked cookies in the afternoon. The rooms were very clean, comfortable and nicely decorated. The only complaint I can find is that when were ready to check out at 6:50am the lobby doors were locked and we couldn't get in or get to the coffee pot so left anyway. I would highly recommend this inn regardless of what your age is. We saw guests of all ages here.

Room Tip: We were on the second floor overlooking the pool and right next to the stairs and never heard anythi...

This lovely inn is very central to the facilities of the Island. A lovely clean well appointed room with a large double bed. Everything was catered for including afternoon tea. Breakfast was help yourself, continental but delicious and plenty to chose from. Will be recommending.

Room Tip: Away from the bar

Best getaway less than 4 hours from Orlando. Loved the room, the beautiful inn and the courtyard.. Continential breakfast was just right and the Pub a great way to start or finish a night. Barbara & RB were super. Wonderful base for touring, shopping or just eating your way around & through the Golden Isles.

We had a great room, loved the pool and the Pub. The location was perfect for us, parking was great. The only criticism I can think of was the coffee machine. I like fresh brewed coffee with breakfast.

Room Tip: We picked a second floor with a lovely balcony on Mallory St, sunny in the morning, shade in the aft...

We were attending a party on Sea Island and decided to try the Village Inn. It was just right. The pool was cooler than the ocean, which was a relief from the heat; the room was clean and nicely decorated; and the bar was bustling at night. The location is right in the heart of St. Simons, but we were not bothered by street noise at all. My only complaint really was with the breakfast (which is included). It could be fresher. The fruit and pastries were day(s) old. Otherwise, a good choice for a weekend in St. Simons.

I took a group on tour and included this WONDERFUL Inn in our trip. Used 14 rooms at the Village Inn w/ all guests very happy about this lovely, historic place. We stayed 2 nights and wished for more time there. . . Beautifully furnished, comfortable, clean rooms surrounding a courtyard; w/ pool and sitting areas. Breakfast (included) in the Pub area was terrific. Walked to restaurants, shops, pier, parks and lighthouse. Look forward to a return visit! Loved it! You will, too! Without a doubt!

This Inn is the perfect choice when visiting St. Simon's within walking distance to everything. I stayed alone while my husband golfed off site and felt perfectly comfortable. My room was lovely and bed so very comfortable I never slept so well and so clean. The Inn is so charming with an English type pub and a pool which anchors the rooms. The perfect get-a-way..can't wait to return.
