Tour guide was friendly and knowledgable. The Eugenia Price room was great. Take your camera and get some pics from the great view at the top of the lighthouse.

It was a gorgeous fall afternoon to view the highest point in the village. At $10 an adult, I didn't feel ripped off and the ticket did include the Maritime Coast Guard Museum as well. I like the way the lighthouse had two stairs of 10 and then a small landing where you could stop if needed. Having climbed a number of lighthouses where that is not the case, we found that to be helpful at our age. :-) Beautiful view and nice grounds and history.

Lighthouses are such an important part of trade and travel, yet very few people think about this. The museum and lighthouse were very interesting. The history of the lighthouse is displayed as well as the home where the "lighthouse family" lived in the 1800s. It is preserved so one can see the items used and the size for a family of 4. One can also climb to the top and get a great view of the beautiful surroundings. The cost of admission is for the lighthouse museum, the lighthouse and the Coast Guard station at another place on the island. All are very informative and well worth the cost of admission, especially for those interested in history.

The museum and gift shop are wonderful and so are the people working there! Lots of beautiful, creative gifts and lots of great information about the lighthouse and photos from the past. We visit the lighthouse every time we visit but this was the first time we visited the museum. Definitely worth the time and you MUST climb to the top of the lighthouse!

What a beautiful light house along the water. We did not get to go inside because it was not opened. We walked along the side , sat and admired, and read the history of the Lighthouse. If you walk along the water, the old town of St Simons is also fun to visit. The shops are cute and stop at SOBo Yogurt because it was great!!!!
