Our family spent Christmas week here. There were 13 of us from ages 8-75. St. Simons Island is lovely. We walked on the beach every day, went to the lighthouse, the village, the movies, played games and took turns preparing and serving meals to each other. The house accommodated us easily. It was wonderful to have all of us around the dining table together. It was a great vacation. Ryan, the owner, was always accessible and responsive, from our first request through our stay there.
The Watermark was truly a family home that accommodated our entire family from the youngest grand child to the grandparents. There is even a chair lift to help the seniors go up and down the stairs. The swimming was a wonderful oasis to enjoy after returning from the beach. The house was conveniently located within walking to both the beach and the quaint downtown. The front porch had rocking chairs that enabled you to sit and have morning coffee or an evening adult beverage. The screened porch overlooked the swimming pool. All the grand kids ate their meals on the porch. The beds were very comfortable, the kitchen was very modern, but could have had a little more ceramic dishes for the microwave. The upstairs bedroom housed the grand kids very nicely. There were plenty of bathrooms that met our needs. There was lots of storage throughout the house too. The house was very clean and pretty well maintained. We have stayed in really grungy homes in the past. I would rate this house a 9 out of 10. I would go back in a heartbeat.
