“Oyster the way you like them”

One of my local favorites for raw or steamed oysters. Would like them steamed a bit longer but since I also like them raw I can manage. Good service inside or out

Great happy hour deals on oysters! The owner (Brad) is awesome! Fantastic steamed shrimp!!! Bar was packed for happy hour but was able to get in without a wait. good outdoor seating as well! Told it is a great place for sporting events as well.

“Great food but a bit lacking in service”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 12, 2012

I love this restaurant but only go when I really want some fried fish, shrimp or oysters. They have outdoor seating which is a lot of fun too. Prices are a bit on the touristy side. Service - slow even when they're not particularly busy. My last visit, I also had to ask someone to wipe down our dirty table we were seated at. I always find it gross when a server gets a grungy towel and uses it to wipe a table. How about throw away paper towels and some windex.

“Updated review...food very good”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 23, 2012

So I visited Catch 228 in August and I was underwhelmed. My husband convinced me to go back. We arrived during Happy Hour and enjoyed 3 dozen (yes, three dozen) oysters on the half shell at $6/dozen! $3 Fat Tire on draft. Had a couple of beers and visited with nice people at the bar. Decided to order more. I had delicious (not low calorie!) crab soup. Very good. My husband ordered a seafood platter of sorts. All the food was VERY good. If you sit in the bar area, remember it IS a bar. Pretty loud with jovial folks. And....much to my surprise....there was working WIFI this time. If you want a quieter dining experience, opt for inside but NOT in bar area. I'm sure it's still loud, but it would definitely be better. We enjoyed our experience and WILL be back again! These people CARE about what they are doing....so, if you have a tip for improvement, just post it.

“Noisy, but Decent Food”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 16, 2012

I had grilled grouper with broccoli slaw and grilled veggies. Both the slaw and veggies were fabulous. The grouper, though, was a bit overcooked and dry. My friend's fried scallops were good, though. They had both the tv and the radio on, making it very noisy. We asked the server to turn the sound off on the tv, which she did and that helped. I'd go again, but I think I'd go for the fried fish or shrimp. Would definitely get that slaw again!! D-LISH!
