“This place is a must!”
Reviewed December 20, 2012

I had been planning to go to Palmer's for a while and just had not gotten there. Make a special trip! We were out early and stopped at Palmer's WOW! It's a cozy place and we were greeted as friends, and the coffee was immediate and good. Then there was the food! OMG it was to die for I had a potato and sweet potato dish Ithaca cheese and perfect eggs and I can 't even remember what else. It was so good you will want to lick the plate. Do not miss Palmer's! They are open foe breakfast and lunch. It is worth waiting in line if you have to. This place will not disappoint! !

“Great Cafe”
Reviewed December 15, 2012

If you are looking for an amazing café to have breakfast or lunch, it is a must that you stop by Palmer’s Village Café near the St. Simons Island pier on Mallery Street.
Every meal that we had had there has been absolutely delightful, delicious, and exceptional. The Harvest Oat/Nut/ Blueberry pancakes are the best that we have ever tasted. They are crunchy yet moist in the inside, and loaded with blueberries. The grits (and I was raised in the south) are perfect – creamy and thick enough to eat with a fork.
Palmer, the owner, takes pride in creating an atmosphere that is warm and feels like home.
Karen and Charles, the servers, are awesome! They are attentive, friendly, and remember what their customers like. You can tell that they really enjoy what they do.
John, the chef, has a talent for creating dishes that are creative, yet not too complicated, and simply memorable.
We will always stop by Palmer’s Village Café when we are in the area. It feels like our second home!

“Easy to see why Palmer's is rated No. 1”
Reviewed December 14, 2012

I've visited Palmer's 4 times since arriving in St. Simons for a holiday visit a couple of weeks ago. The entire staff is the best, most helpful, and most efficient I've observed in a restaurant in a long time. The food is EXCELLENT, and not to be missed by anyone who appreciates fine, creative food at very reasonable prices. The place is very comfortable. I'm hoping that my wife and I can return once or twice more before our visit ends. Palmer's stands out as one of my favorite places ever for great food.

“Loved Palmer's”
Reviewed December 8, 2012

We really had a delicious breakfast at Palmer's. So many unique choices on the menu it was difficult to choose. I decided on the blueberry, oat and nuts pancakes. Even though it was pancakes, it felt like a healthier choice. These pancakes were so very good, served with warm maple syrup. My husband ordered the green eggs and ham, which is a herb and goat cheese scramble with prosciutto. Sounds delicious doesn't it!
Palmer's is a great hometown cafe. We stayed awhile and enjoyed several cups of coffee. The service was great as well. Highly recommend this cafe!

“Palmer's Rocks”
Reviewed December 7, 2012

While camping at Fort Clinch State Park, we decided to take a little trip to St Simons Island GA for breakfast. We ended up, as usual, at Palmer's Village Cafe. Chef JB whips up the finest breakfast combinations we have ever tried, My wife had the special, two eggs on top of smoked Gouda grits with Bacon wrapped green beans topped with watercress with a touch of sherry vinegar. Mine was the Coastal Delight, an open faced omelet topped with sautéed shrimp, mushrooms, house made Tasso, mustard greens, herbed cheese, and tempura fried artichokes. Both were to die for. Chef JB has a unique ability to combine flavors so that no one item overpowers another along with a passion for cooking that most people wish they had.
