OMG - we had the banana pudding cakes with nilla crumbles. This dish was incredible! My wife had the challah french toast which was fantastic too! Coffee and service excellent. Can't wait to go back!

What do you do when you're 'new in town'? You check trip advisor for the best place. Bummer..... This was disappointing.  Palmer Village Cafe looked closed from the outside, just the sign 'open' encouraged us to go in. Place lookes chabby and the sounds and smells from the kitchen rushed upon us. Loud rock music was the cream on the pie.. This place looks like an old kantine, only the colorfull paintings gave it some entourage. The waitress serving us was, to put it mildly, rude and unfriendly. My wife asked for a capuchino/ late, appearantly she didn't know what this was since after a second attempt she could only react with "regular or decaf" and not in a friendly way. The rest of the service was artificial and fake. We felled unwanted and certainly not welcome. A customer who asked for the restroom, was shouted at with the directions so all guests were unwilling witnesses of the poor gentlemen's needs... The breakfast was of a seldom shown poor quality, the bacon was old, the pancakes too thick. Good advice for tripadvisor to do mystory shopping visits since this Palmers Village Cafe is showing off with their trip advisor's recommendation. We would encourage everyone not to go to Palmers Village Cafe unless you want to be offended by poor food and even worse service.

I had the shrimp and grits (yup, they agreed to make it for me even though it was not on the breakfast menu). The grits, tomatoes and amount of shrimp were quite impressive. The only unusual thing was that the shrimp were not deveined. Being a lowcountry girl, couldn't give a hoot if they are or not but did find it odd because they usually are at most restaurants. My friends had the banana pudding pancakes which were amazing and huge! The place is a little noisy but that's because it is busy and rightfully so! We will be back :)

Very good food, excellent service & reasonably priced! You can't ask much more than that in a resort. Quaint little place in an old storefront in the village. I had a Reuben that was very good & my wife had the cheesesteak which she liked. The guy waiting on us was very attentive, refilled tea & water everytime it got down halfway but he was not hovering. 2 guys waiting & 1 cooking & they ran their (you know whats) off the whole time we were there. Can't go wrong at Palmer's but they close at 2pm so don't wait too late, we almost did.
