Hubby and I found this out-of-the-way place years ago. Since then we have come here infrequently, but one day we ordered their lunch special for $9.95, and we've been returning once a week ever since for the special of the day. Whatever it is, it is delicious and very satisfying. It's just a little more food than needed, but somehow we always manage to finish everything and feel full and happy afterwards. The sushi is always top notch, and the service is friendly and excellent. The restaurant is small and they already have a big following Perhaps more praise is not needed.

This is a nice small Sushi place that offers a good selection. The sashimi selection is robust and the maki rolls offer some unique choices. The pricing is fair as two people can eat for $60-80 with drinks. I look forward to going back again when I visit that area.

Really appreciated this restaurant on our first visit and intend to go again soon. Everything was very good, although we didn't try the sushi/sashimi. Quite popular & busy for lunch

We found this place by accident when looking for the Greek place next to it. The Greek place looked more like a bar and Tanaka looked more like the quiet corner we were looking for. Small, small place, has a few tables and a sushi bar. It looks like they take their sushi very seriously but since we don't eat sushi, we didn't try it. We had a shrimp and a chicken dish that were delicious! Both dishes were very different than what we have found at the bigger chain places. The spices were unusual and the presentation was more like getting served at someone's home than a chain restaurant. It started with a ginger dressing salad and miso soup. The service was extremely courteous and prompt. They don't put forks on the table, so if you can't manage with chop sticks, you will have to ask for one. We had green tea with dinner and the entire bill was less than $25 for 2 adults. It was a quiet place, the customers looked like regulars, it was warm and inviting. We will definitely be back.
