We had a late lunch on Saturday and really enjoyed it. They have a good selection of small bites and appetizer. Try the duck/chicken liver mousse and the cheese souffle!. Service was good. We were sitting in the middle area and the doors were open so we had a great view and did not have to sit in the sun on the terrace. We will be back to try other items on the menu.

The problem with both locations which are steps apart is that the inside dining areas were (are) too big and too noisy. If you want more romantic then the tables next to the new large glass doors are nice which open when the weather is warm. Finally the city is allowing more changes to the old buildings! Calamari has always been and still is excellent. Nice portion of mussels at lunch but cut in size and doubled in price at dinner. The nighttime scene is great for singles or party goers but not for folks just mellowing out with a soft background music.

Wow this place has so much to talk about. It has three environments, a dining room, a bar and a dining room off the bar. We ate at the bar once and at the dining room off the bar once. The dining room off the bar: good experience, a live musician makes it hard to hear a bit. But good food, good service. The bar: had to order food from the bartender while sitting at the area across from the bar, they didn't seem happy about it but obliged, they were sort of transitioning from dinner to party joint. Pretty good food, but so so feeling in the bar. After the food the place turned into a 50's pick-up joint. We had 3 young good looking girls with us and they were pretty busy getting hit on by very up front older guys, but it became comical to us. As the night went on the dancing started and it just became more and more funny, the people watching was awesome. Go here with a good sense of humor (after 10) or eat in the dining room, which seems a little dull.

The live band played a real variety of music and all was fun to dance to. The acoustics could be better. I would love a bigger dance floor but the overall experience was fun!

Went to the ballet with the grandkids and my Mom - 6 for dinner. Stopped in at Pastis on the square in Roswell. The strip it is in is very cozy and the trees across the street in the greensward were all lit for Christmas. It was 4:45 and early for dinner but we were hungry. We were seated at a large table, fireplace crackling and the room lit by the glow of a beautiful lit Christmas tree.

No drinking - we had the kids, so we ordered our meals. The childrens chicken finger bowl was huge - wonderful crispy chicken that was juicy inside. Skin on fries - a monster bowl full. My granddaughter opted for a salad instead of fries but without all the weird stuff (goat cheese and dried cranberries) and our server accommodated her with a nice bowl of greens. We opted for the roast beef on a baguette with carmelized onions and gruyere and brie cheeses with pan au jus. Wow - the onions were chunky, soft and buttery and the fresh cut steak was tender and juicy. I used all my au jus - it was really tasty and thick but not at all salty. Flourless chocolate ganache cake and chocolate mousse for dessert - the cake was rick and decadent and the mousse was even better. Dense, almost sticky, flavored with rum - may be one of the greatest tasting mousse desserts I have had. We had great service from a young man from Boston - accommodating, friendly, never let us lack for anything. I'd recommend this to my friends (and have). It would be fun to try one of the meat and cheese plates with a nice bottle of wine with just my wife. We're going to find out how much fun because we plan a return visit soon.
