“Great Casual Atmosphere, Good Food, Reasonable Prices”
Reviewed December 9, 2013

Had dinner with my wife and two friends. Old log cabin and attached house atmosphere with low noise levels so talking was easy. They don't have appetizers, soups, and salads, but their entrees were solid and southern in feel. Shrimp and cheese grits were wonderful. They also offer awesome homemade pies.

Dinner for two with tip was $48, and that included one of the fish specials which was about $23.

A great choice for a dinner with family or friends.

“Upscale, but not expensive southern cuisine”
Reviewed November 13, 2013

Greenwoods is a hidden gem in the historic Roswell district. The 3 or 4 veggie plate is a meal in itself - make sure to try the broccoli casserole! The honey/pepper fried chicken plate is enormous, and probably one of the best fried chicken dinners in ATL. And, make sure you leave room for their pies for dessert. Love this place.

“Greenwood's on Green Street/Roswell GA/30 minutes north of ATL”
Reviewed November 6, 2013

We have been going to Greenwood's for the past 25+ years. Bill Greenwood treats his guests and food as if you were dining in his home. He never uses a freezer or microwave. His mashed potatoes are better than my dad's was and that is saying something. His chicken with plum sauce, his slice of pie that is enough for 3 people to share, tells you how wonderful the portions are. He has an organic garden and his salads and other ingredients reflect that. His fried green tomatoes with his marina sauce is the best in the city. He has created a destination family friendly place. Don't miss this one.

“I eat here whenever I get to Atl”
Reviewed November 1, 2013

I try to get to Greenwoods whenever I go to Atl. I've never been dissppointed by a meal though I rarely finish one since I have to leave room for a slice of pie for desert.

“Just average”
Reviewed October 15, 2013

It really is a cute little place. The catch word here is little. Set up in an old house, they made as much of it as they could. Because of the “coziness”, it is difficult to carry on a conversation very well. However, to offset this, the food is good, not to die for, but good. The portions are large so you will never leave hungry but, to me, the price also reflects the portion sizes. I would recommend it and I would go back but, it would not be a place for a weekly visit. Too many other places around just like it.
