Slate has taken a cool spot along Roswell's mega dining scene on "upper" Canton Street in the historic district. It is located a few blocks north of the village area which can be quite crowded most every day of the week. Slate is a little more relaxed and homey. It's a place where you can actually talk to your friends AND eat without yelling across the table. That's a good thing. The menu at Slate is pretty standard pub fare, but it's all quite good. A great selection of beer complements the food choices and the staff is friendly and attentive. It's nice to sit outside on the front garden/terrace area and watch the city go by.
