The quality is here - superb steaks, great menu items , great wine & bar - all done very well! - the weekends are another story all together! - It can only politely be described as a total [--] storm come Friday - Reservations are available but unless you are sitting in the back with a group - a reservation is no guarantee that you will have a $$$ experience. The tiny bar gets slammed very early & doesn't let up until 10:30 or so! - There is absolutely NO place to hang - dont sit at the bar booths for dinner unless you like having uninvited guests - the bar can get 3 deep with no where to even hover without folks standing basically on top of the bar booths - the entire space gets noisy, crowded and annoying very quickly - now that the weather is nice, outside seating is a preferable option - be agreeable to being seated outside - it will go a long way toward salvaging your evening - especially if it's date night. There are many great restaurants on Canton Street to choose from but just be aware that when going to Little Alley on a busy night (weekends) even with a reservation will not necessarily translate into a great experience for the money! - That being said, the food is mostly terrific, the service is also mostly top notch - ( the good servers are well aware of the crowding issues and overcome them admirably ) Enjoy yourself but dont be in a hurry and be patient especially on the weekends! - With that proviso, i highly recommend it!
