We have been back to the re-opening of Sophia's three times already, and loved it each time. We tend to eat lighter, so we love the Tapas, and the flatbreads and sat at the bar two of the three times there. We like the meatballs, the eggplant, the arancini, the Tuscan chips, flatbreads, salads..... Good wine selection and Peroni. The second time we split the Pork Braciole, it was prepared just like my grandmother used to make. What more do you need.

This past visit, we went with another couple and sat in the dining area. We split a few appetizers that were all great. We all had the warm spinach salad with gorgonzola, strawberries, and toasted almonds and it is my favorite salad. My wife says she could get that as her meal.

For dinner we had the Valentines special which was a 4 oz filet, and 4 shrimp scampi, served over angel hair with roasted red peppers. Well prepared and the food was excellent. They have a nice choice of wines, you should find something in your price range.

The bar area is nice, also they have quite a few tables, and you are not sitting right on top of one another like you have to at some of the Canton Street places. I recommend this if you want to have some quiet conversation with your spouse, or go out with another couple.

We love this place. We loved it when it was a few blocks over, and was sad to see it close. Now, we are so glad they reopened. We have really not had anything at either location we did not like.

I was happy to see that Sophia's had reopened and eventhough Valentine's evening is always busy, we waited over an hour to get our entree once seated at our table. Our table seemed to have been added in and my husband sat under a fake ficus tree during dinner.

While we did get seated fairly quickly since we had a reservation, it took 10 minutes for someone to greet us and take our drink order, 25 minutes to get an appetizer, (we had to ask for silverware), another 45 minutes to get our entree and another 15 minutes to get dessert. Our server seemed to vanish. We chatted with the table next to us experiencing the same slow service. The food was good but not sure if it was worth the wait.

We were looking for a new resturant to try and were really pleased with our choice. We went on a Tuesday night and found the resturant really quiet. The food and service were great. I had the chicken cacatorie that was delicious. My husband had the salmon and also was delicious.
The other couple had the cod picatta and the lamb shank both were delicious. The server was very helpful and really made the meal more pleasant. We will definitely be back.

Delicious food, impeccable service and great atmosphere. Very attentive wait staff with excellent recommendations about what food to order from the menu. Definitely worth a visit with friends or on a date.
