“Fabulous place for a birthday party!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 5, 2013

The guide was fabulous, and she handled the children very well. She was informative and we learned more than ever about native Georgia wildlife. Lots more fun than Monkey Joe's to me! My daughter said it was her favorite birthday party ever.

“A great place to take kids!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 24, 2013

This was one of my favorite places to go as a kid! I also use to take the kids I babysat and my younger cousins. It's free (but you really should donate to a great cause) and a great place to take a picnic. The hours can be weird, so I would check their website and/or call ahead.

“Trading program is great for kids.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 15, 2013

Kids can bring ins stuff they find, like deer antler, and trade them for a variety of shells and other things; a great way to encourage people to be more into nature. Very friendly staff and very informative. Cannoing is nearby with a different company; a nice afternoon.

“If You Haven't Been Here Lately - Come See What They've Done”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 4, 2013

We were quite impressed with the massive improvements over the old Nature Center. Many native raptors in their own family enclosures. Huge Owls, a Bald Eagle family, several hawks, and a very large (40+ pounds) provide an excellent up close educational opportunity. A wonderful place to spend a couple of hours. There were a number of open places, perfect for a group or scout outing. Lakes, walking opportunities, a wooden walkway out into the marsh ajoining the Chattoochee River. While we were there a class on the ecology of the area was presented at a 3rd grader level so the kids really got to understand the treasure they were visiting.
