This place is amazing. The place is a staple of broad street since the 40's. It is a nice place to go have a meal with the family like you would have had growing up. The table cloth is a piece of freshly torn brown paper, so no worries putting your food on it or whatever. The spread that is brought out is unbelievable. Your started with sweet corn bread (butter) and slaw. All you can eat. Then the main course is brought (usually 2 or 3 main courses to choose from) with all the fixings like mom used to make. The containers of the food brought out are old metal cups, and jars, and it just takes you back in time. Once you have finished the main course, you then have a choice of cake, cobbler, or banana pudding! Love this place. The only thing is on Sundays, it seems to be a little more expensive that I would care for. Otherwise during the week, a couple can easily eat for under $25.

Wanted to find a nice restaurant to eat lunch at with our family on the way back to Coweta County. Found this after a little searching for restaurants in Rome. Was very good. Since it was Easter Sunday we called to make sure they were opened not only were they opened but they asked if we wanted reservations. They brought out tons of food. Ham, Greens, Turkey, gravy and stuffing, stewed tomatoes, roast beef and gravy, broccoli and cheese casserole, cornbread, slaw and deviled eggs! Everything is made in house from what I can tell. And everything was amazing. The only two things that weren't awesome were the mac and cheese and the roast beef. Roast beef was a little tough and the mac and cheese didn't have enough cheesy flavor to it. But they weren't bad just not as flavorful as everything else on the menu.

I was very impressed with the quality of the food and how fresh everything was. I'm used to eating at a typical Meat & Three and eating concealed mac and cheese that was made a few days ago. This mac and cheese was fresh and everything was made with real ingredients. The banna pudding which was great by the way was topped with fresh whipped cream not cool whip or whipped cream in a can.

I'd recommend this restaurant as a great way to enjoy family restaurants the way they used to be. No menus and they bring out an assortment of dishes.

This restaurant is a typical country cooking menu with boarding house table servings, The owner and servers are very attentive. It certainly provides plenty of food for the hearty eater.

My family and I visited this place for dinner while I was in town for business and loved it.
My boys who are super picky loved the turkey and chicken along with the mac & cheese. We all really enjoyed the food and the peaceful setting our waiter was very kind and helpful also.
The food is served family style with sandwich and burger options too.
I highly recommend this place and will visit again.
