Great meal. Steak good. Have a monster dinosaur size. A bit overpriced for the setting. Paper napkins, Ned to clad t up or the price.

Southern sides very good and mystery Wednesday special a tempting thing to skip church for. But, we brave the weekend line. Enough folks to upgrade the serving ware.

Good food, good atmosphere, in the middle of nowhere and very packed, go early r late to beat crowd.

“Always good”
Reviewed January 24, 2012

I have eaten here many times and everthing is always good. I tried their shrimp and it was cooked to perfection. I usually order their flat iron steak, which is an inexpensive steak and it is always good.

“It's a cute little restaurant in the middle of nowhere.”

The steaks, fish and grilled shrimp were very good but the chicken fingers and ribs were not the best.

“Off the beaten path, but well worth the trip.”

We eat at the Steakhouse whenever we're in the area. An old country farmhouse converted into a restaurant, this place knows how to grill. I always order the Rib-eye with baked potato. If you are ever within 20 minutes of Rockmart and crave steak, I recommend you search for this place. It's steaks beat those major brand Steakhouses hands down... in flavor and value. A 16 oz (or maybe slightly larger) rib-eye runs $17.95. My wife got the hamburger steak,$9.95, and it is good..but doesn't compare. You'll have to wait 39 to 45 minutes on a Saturday night. Well worth the wait though.

Prepare for an experience when you go to The Steakhouse. David and Henrietta have done a fabulous job in putting this restaurant on the "map". Situated out in the "boonies" in an old homestead farmhouse. Pull up a rocker on the front porch or just stand outside under the huge hundred year old trees. Glance at the tags on the cars and most are from out of town to include Cobb, Fulton and places at least an hours drive. They have found our little "jewel" tucked into this country setting. The atmosphere inside is very high energy and friendly. Most of the time, Henrietta the owner is manning the register. Steaks are grilled to perfection and my favorite is their salads. They include real bacon curls and little potato sticks on top. The dressings are homemade and wonderfully flavorful and thick. No watered down dressing here. They bring you a basket of their hot yeast rolls with butter and you can't help but fill up. Desserts are also very good with my favorite being the fried ice cream with real whipped cream and a drizzle of chocolate sauce. The menu has a full selection to include steaks, pastas, chicken, fish, burgers, etc. There is something for everyone. You may have to wait 30-40 minutes on the weekends if you don't get there early, but it is worth the wait. This is Rockmart's # 1 hidden gem.
