“You get what you pay for”
Reviewed December 31, 2010

Please note that many of the "positive" posters below are all from Savannah, Ga - about a 20 minute drive from Richmond Hill. I am curious if these postings are left by employees - many also have only one contribution.
My experience was not as great as they described, but not all bad. Check in was smooth, but the hotel desk was a little too friendly to the point of being creepy. The rooms were clean, but in serious need of updating. There was different colored paint on the walls were holes had been patched, the door lock was coming off, the bathtub/shower combo needing replacing, and the lighting in the bathroom had been changed, but the old light remained and just looked ... odd.
I had never stayed in a Travelodge before and thought I was getting a fabulous deal on a "2 star" hotel. However, maybe the entire chain is considered 2 star, but the quality of this hotel is most notably a 1 star.
Not an awful experience, but be wary of all the positive reviews. Bottom line, you get what you pay for.

Nothing fancy about this motel. Room was clean with no complaints, for a one or two night stay the price is right. Continental breakfast was minimal, have had much better. Desk clerk Yolaiza was an amazing help and probably attracts many visitors because she is so helpful and gives her all. I actually cancelled another reservation with a different chain to book at Travelodge because of the comments on Trip Advisor about Yolaiza and the fact that they accepted pets. I probably would not stay here again as the noise was too much. It was a weekend so that could explain all the noise. Outside appearance is not good, looks run down.

My daughter and I stayed here for 6 nights while welcoming our son home from Iraq. It was ok for the price. Very friendly staff, great breakfast, and the business center was nice. However, there were only 2 washers/dryers for the whole hotel, and they were out of order most of the time. The free wi-fi worked when it wanted to. The photos shown are nothing like the actual look. The rooms were ok, but the carpet needed a cleaning badly. Our feet were black after walking on them. Housekeeping was great for leaving enough towels, etc. There were a lot of men outside drinking, smoking, and being a little loud most nights we were there. A little noisy for being by a major highway.

The front desk clerk named Yolaiza was the most friendly, helpful hotel staff member I've ever had the pleasure of meeting. She went out of her way to accomodate our needs and I was very impressed. The housekeeping staff was also very polite and did a great job. They all made our stay extremely enjoyable and the price of the rooms can't be beat for the great service you get! I highly recommend this hotel!!
