Having moved to Richmond Hill we want to get out and try all of the restaurants. We've tried other mexican places nearby and wanted to give El Porto a try. They are a chain in the Savannah area, so we thought we'd try the one near us. I don't have much to say about this place, and actually we won't be going back. The decor is a bit shabby, the tables and chairs old and worn and the atmosphere is cramped and dark. The food was higher than a nearby very close mexican place (La Nopalera) and not as good. I agree with the other poster that the food is bland. Our server never checked on us and I had to finish my husband's drink because I was so thirsty! We were done eating and he finally asked us if we wanted refills! No thanks - we were ready to pay and leave. Take it from us - try somewhere else. The prices and food will be much better!
